Our trip paused in Barstow for an overnight KOA stay before moving on. Office personnel were very nice and helpful. We easily found our site and hooked up our RV for full hookups. The pad or parking area was level even though it was hard packed sand. Privacy vegetation rows provided plenty of privacy between camp sites. Although we were...

We liked the idea of being close to the highway for easy on-and-off issues but there is the constant road noise of course. We have heard more noise at other campgrounds but it quiet is your thing, not a great idea to come here. We found the office staff friendly and helpful. There is a dog park. The pool wasn't...

So this is the famous KOA. Blech. Tiny sites on red gravel. There were a few nice shaded spots that were empty – but we got one in the sun with no shade, and they have these horrible glaring overhead lights at night that made it feel like a glorified parking lot. We arrived late afternoon in high 80’s temperatures...

We originally planned to stay at a Harvest Host when we were in this area, but it was 105 degrees, so we opted for hook ups instead of boondocking. This KOA was a pleasant experience for the night we stayed. Our spot sat alongside a nice view of the desert. The space was clean and really easy to get in...

Don't assume because it's a KOA that it's good. We phoned ahead and asked for a nice RV site. We were given one about 200 yards from the Interstate. It was awful. When we went back to reception a much better site away from the road became miraculously available. Seriously poor service and a very noisy and uninspiring site. Use...

This was our first stop on our first RV experience, I was quite nervous and didn't find the women who checked us in particularly welcoming but we were able to hook up the water and electric without a problem. The wifi was pretty much non-existent at our site but worked fine in the clubhouse. Our son loved this site as...

This KOA is very nice clean restrooms close to ghost town but very busy. My only objection is the Internet Wi-Fi is almost nonexistent at the campsite you have to go to the lounge. Also restroom facilities are not sufficient for the large number of gas I had to wait a long time just to use the toilet. It is...

This was just an overnight stay on our way to the Grand Canyon. Nice place. I was happy staying here. They have hammocks you can use, which my husband loved. I was happy with the fact that there's plenty of room to walk around and to stretch your legs. You are right next to the freeway though, so sleeping at...

We stayed one night in the deluxe cabin. The cabin was cute with a little kitchenette, bathroom and cosy feel. There is nice a porch area with a swing seat. Check in was simple. The reason I feel a hotel would be better for a longer stay is that we asked to hire some linens (as advertised on the website),...

We stayed at the Barstow KOA for 9 days. 9 of the hottest days of my life :-) But, who can control the weather. This was a really nice KOA. The people were very friendly. The place is packed full every night and empties out by late morning the next day. So, lots of folks must stay here just on...
