First, the home is classic with a very interesting history, which is unusual among the B&Bs in this area. It is a very comfortable home as well, well appointed but not over-the-top kischy. Second, the location is good, being about 20 mins from the entrance of Sequioa National Park. The site itself is a functioning orange grove, which also makes...

As the title implies...search no more. If you're looking for a superb stay in the farming country/Sierra Mountain-Sequoia Nat'l Park area (and it's all there and close), you can stop your research: Wicky-Up, which we found pretty much by chance, turned out to be the best B&B we have ever stayed in --and we've been around the state, around the...

We stayed at the Wicky-up ranch for two nights, visiting the Sequoia National Park. The location is good, being about 15 minutes outside Three Rivers, and about an hour from the Sherman Tree etc. The breakfast is truly great, being a delicious and healthy alternative to the junk served in most hotels. Hosts Monica and Jack are very welcoming, and...

Wicky Up is not only relaxing and refreshing but they serve a delicious breakfast with class and style. It is located in a rural environment and we want to go back to just sit on the porch and relax for the weekend. The breakfast presentation would be hard to beat. We have stayed there twice and hope to go back...

Unmatched comfort and hospitality in a richly historic home. Wicky Up is the new standard by which we will measure all other B&B experiences.

What a gem! The home, which has been in the owner's family for 4 generations, was lovely. The decor was great and the hosts were friendly. It was very secluded in the middle of the family orange grove making it an ideal resting place. The town of Woodlake has nothing in it so you have to travel about 15 miles...

We decided to make a small weekend trip up to Sequoia National Park/Mineral King in late October, to get in some hiking before the weather turned. Unfamiliar with the area, I was trying to find something as close to the park entrance as possible. The town of Three Rivers (more like a village) is where most people stay. It is...

Monica and Jack did everything right at this bed and breakfast. Coming from the city with my boyfriend, we wanted an escape from the high stress atmosphere that we live in, so I decided to look for some sort of farm stay. I decided on Wicky-Up because of it's interesting accommodations (we stayed in the small cottage located off to...

This B&B is located on an organic orange grove and unique in that it houses four generations of family antiques. The owners/hosts of the ranch (Monica and Jack) are very pleasant, hospitable and have the most interesting stories to tell of the ranch and it's incredible history. The wrap-around porch is very inviting on an evening after a long-day's hike...

I posted a video and a recipe from this B&B here: http://foodandwinemavens.blogspot.com/2010/03/san-francisco-weekend-getaway-fresno.html Hubby and I did the blossom trail and stopped here for the night. We reserved the suite upstairs and arrived after dinner around 8PM. The fireplace was lit downstairs, complimentary water bottles and chocolate-orange cookies were waiting for us in the room as well as Ferrero Rocher chocolates....
