My wife and I loved the quiet secluded days we spent here. We booked a private room and enjoyed the communal feeling that is there. I like to cook so it was great sharing travel experiences and food with others in the well appointed kitchen. Long walks, quiet and peaceful surroundings. This is not about pampering your every want but...

Have been staying at Wilbur for many years and love so many things about it. Wonderful pools, great lodge and extraordinary hiking, flowers and peacefulness. However, we were really shocked going back earlier this year for the first time after the fire and seeing the new cabins. While we appreciate that something had to be done to rebuild after the...

If you're looking to be greeted by warm, white robes and fully attentive concierge services, keep looking. But if you're looking for an off-grid, unpretentious, and simplistically beautiful sanctuary on hundreds of acres in northern CA, look no further. Wilbur has held a special place in my heart and soul for decades. Kind of expensive? Yup. Worth it? Absolutely. Sleep...

Even though this has been here a while, the room we stayed in seemed new and pretty close to the water. No resturaut but great kitchen to prepare food. There are numbered boxes for your kitchen stuff and a numbered space in the frig for your food. After you have registered and dropped your stuff off, the only down side...

We went to Wilbur Hot Springs for the first time to celebrate my 60th Birthday. Stayed in the newly-built cabins which were lovely. The architecture and decor were just to my taste: simple with an attention to detail. The hot springs themselves were quite magical and thoroughly relaxing and the grounds and facilities were beautifully maintained. We walked out into...

I usually don't write bad reviews for hot springs, but this was an awful experience. 1. They charge $300 for cabin that is more like a duplex. Our neighbors were really loud the whole time. The cabin had no hot water. The floor probably was never cleaned. I could smell the chemical since it is newly built 2 years ago!...

If your looking for a relaxing getaway, you might not find it hear. I stayed in February with a friend. It was pretty empty which I quite enjoy. The lodge was pretty slow most of the stay, yet when parked in front of the office for checkout they tried to give me a parking ticket??? The staff was rude to...

Hot Springs are in a beautiful traditional Japanese style setting made of wood. These waters are some of the best. The emerald green swimming pool was lovely. Enjoyed a massage by a skilled therapist and riding the bikes around the property. Remember to bring enough food and beverages. They have a great communal kitchen and dining area.

I just finished reading almost all the reviews and am a little surprised at what people mention. When I travel I spend a lot of time researching - primarily on the sites, website and here in Tripadvisor. Checking the website again I found prices, facilities, and services to be clearly outlined. Yes Wilbur Springs smells of sulphur because that's what's...

Too expensive! It is a pity, for this place has massive potential: a beautiful environment, clothing optional, hot springs, even environmentally friendly (if that is important to you). But this place is far, far too impressed with itself.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Wilbur Hot Springs is an off grid/solar powered, destination resort with naturally occurring hot mineral springs located in the heart of an 1800 acre Nature Preserve. When you pass through the gate, you are entering a sanctuary-a refuge from the fast pace and noise of the modern world. This land and its healing waters offer a unique opportunity to slow down, quiet the mind, and listen deeply. The bathing area features the Fluminarium: an open-air onsen with three long flumes of volcanic mineral water with temperatures ranging from 98-110 degrees Fahrenheit, a sauna and a swimming pool. There is little to distract you from the basic tasks of soaking, resting, preparing your meals, and exploring nature. Here, you can let go, sink into yourself, and reconnect with what matters most. ... more   less
