Stayed two nights here to usher the new year and was pleasantly surprised. Location is great: a few steps away from Mel's and Equinox, right in the heart of trendy West Hollywood, yet quiet and neighborly, it's ideal to feel home away from home. Staff is super friendly! They talk to you like they've known you for a while and...

The Sunset Marquis celebrated 50 years a few years back and is renowned for the history of artists, particularly British rock stars, who have stayed there on tours from the UK. This is the fourth hotel we have tried in LA on several visits and looks like one we may actually want to return to if we can. We were...

I love this place. Stayed here for 3 nights with wife and daughter during the week between Christmas and New Year's and everything was just about perfect. We had a king suite w balcony overlooking the restaurant (and the Les Paul). The Sunset Marquis is dripping with rock history and the hotel is carefully curated to reflect this. From the...

Great location! Just off sunset boulevard ,in west hollywood, on a residential street tucked away is located the Sunset marque. Overall the rooms are good size and comfortable, some are apartment like and some are stand alone villas in lush green gardens. There is a restaurant next to the gardens and a small spa. One main decent size pool and...

I have stayed here a few years in a row for my annual firm meeting in December. What a gem. It is a lovely property with conventional hotel rooms and private "villas." The service is excellent. The location is perfect - walking distance to good restaurants and bars in West Hollywood, short cab ride from other great spots. But for...

This hotel is in a great location with some bars and restaurants nearby. Sunset and Santa Monica blvd are close by so you can actually walk to some places... in LA! The rooms are decent and beds comfortable. The restaurant is very decent and the bar area is cool. The hotel does charge for wifi which is strange in this...

We stayed at the trendy West Hollywood Hotel for two nights to explore LA and Hollywood. The spot is ideal for starting any tour through Hollywood and Beverly Hills. The hotel itself is situated in a calm street next to Sunset Blvd. Obviously there have been a lot of pop and rockstars who lived in the hotel so far. The...

This place is jammed full of rock and roll history. Very cool old Hollywood charm and unique setting. Worth the visit even if just for a quick swim or drink at the bar. You truly feel like a start when you visit and the history of the place is awe inspiring. Try the burger from room service and breakfast at...

This place is very chic; the art on the walls, the decor, the staff, they all scream "LA". It wasn't really our scene (we picked it for the location more than the atmosphere) but it was very nice all the same. Not a fan of places that charge for WiFi in 2016, but such is life.

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
