Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What you see is what you get. Amazing location, great price for WeHo but very basic. Its located so well on Cnr SM Blvd and La Cienega. It's about the cheapest you'll find in area, by a country mile. The rooms are clean but incredibly basic and very 1970s decor. No overhead light but a lamp. Bed OK, bathroom OK, you get nothing else. I prefer to spend on experiences so I'm OK with that. I had no problems and no complaints but it's pretty simple. Looks like some rooms are long term residents.

I made the mistake to book the room for 4 nights (Sep 2018) and what a mistake. I couldn't stay even a night and this is why: *Rooms are infested with roaches (under the bed, on the bed, walls, behind mirrors, in the bathroom plus other bugs that come at night and early morning in the bathroom. *The sheets from the bed have steins of (only God knows), they are greasy and some "brown" - *The carpet also has steins of the same substances PLUS the roaches are all over and because the carpet is dark brown, well, you guessed it, you can see them but you step on them - *The staff (if you can call it that) can give a "sh...t" about it. I met 3, an older dude (rude as hell but sweat to his dog, not to the guest), a younger dude (can care less) and a TG woman (same, they have ZERO sense of what a basic "customer service" is or care or give a sh...t. I spent my first night at IHOP next door, I could not possibly stay in the room. I left my small carry on bag inside the room but I wrapped it with a plastic paper (sealed) so the bugs and roaches would stay out. YES, if you do not, you will bring them home with you. I requested a refund for the remaining nights & I book an AirnB. This Motel IS NOT EVEN for an hourly type unless you want to have fun with your date and 100's roaches and bugs and stains from who knows what or who. A nightmare. This place should be reported to the "Health Department"

I shy away from writing bad reviews because I don't believe they are worth my time. However, travelers need to know about this place. Look, I can let a lot of things roll off my back: old room? fine. kind of dirty? ok. soiled sheets? ok, that's gross but easy fix. I've very go- with-the-flow but I should have listened to the previous reviews! Upon check-in, everything seemed to go ok, even the first night was fine. Then the second day of my vacation arrived... I chose this motel because of its proximity to my favorite night clubs and restaurants. I had my friends who live in LA meet at my room so we could all walk together. Upon my return (around 4pm) my room key did not work. I went and asked the front desk person if they could resolve the issue, upon doing this, the front desk started screaming at me that I had too many people in my room (I guess they saw my friends from earlier) and that I was being kicked out. Um, what?! The front desk would not let me in my room, instead he (she?) started swearing at me and becoming belligerent telling me that she was going to call the cops. I thought I was being punked! This whole experience was so overwhelming, Ive never been treated like this in my life. I pleaded just to let me get my things out of my room before I needed to call the authorities. Finally, I was let in my room (some creepy maintenance guy stayed at the door and watched) but there was no way that I would stay there even if they had allowed me. So there I was, late in the afternoon on vacation, hotel-less. I packed up my things in my car and realized I had left a couple of items in the rush. I was not let in my room so I called the police. Of course, by this time they had wiped out my room and taken the rest of my belongings. Looking back, I wish I had just called the police right away but I was so flustered and in utter disbelief of what was happening. I have no idea how this place is still in business, don't take a chance of having something like this happen to you. Based on reviews, it seems hit and miss with the front desk operator but don't risk it!

When in West Hollywood, this place is the best bargain in town for a short stay. The location is GREAT. Aside from that, well, electrical problems, TV cable problems, noise problems. Thank goodness I brought earplugs, a face mask and some good old Motrin PM. I think I slept about twelve hours straight through. The place is old, the rooms are smallish, you can hear everything in the next room, it certainly is not glamorous. I prayed there wouldn't be an earthquake because it looked like one good jolt would be the end of the place, owing to one end of the building being supported by a couple of old wood beams in the teeny carport. All that aside, the management was very nice, accommodating and helpful. Sheets were clean and the bed was okay so I slept well. Kudos to them for a decent shower head and great water pressure (most of the other places we stayed at had those horrible water-saver misters, eesh). West Hollywood isn't one of my favorite places to visit that's for sure, but if I had to return after hell freezes over, I'd stay at this place again.

The good thing....location and price. It is in the heart of the WH area and rooms for one are only $69 plus tax on weekdays. The motel has not been maintained and rooms are less than basic. Not even a toilet paper holder and the toiletries consist of 1 small bar of soap. Sheets are clean but everything else seems dirty. Some people stay there long term and it has a "seedy" feeling. I stayed there because my home is nearby and is being remodeled. I would pay more the next time and stay at a place that is more comfortable.

So the Motel isn´t the problem but the people staying there, well, kind of is. But you never know as to who is staying there same days as you are and I was fairly lucky all though some crazy people. The location is a bit noise as of traffic so if you are sensitive to it then maybe not best option but I would go back and stay again!

I have stayed at this hotel since 2001 and referred many of my friends. I thought based on my past good experience I would stay again in July. I proceeded to book my reservation on their on-line form. I called the next day and the person who answered abruptly told me it takes a day. He did not offer to look it up, just told me this. I said fine, I will wait. As he said, I received the confirmation later that day. They violated security by including my full credit card number and csv code and ignored that I requested a 2nd floor or higher room and gave me first floor. I nicely wrote them back thanking them for the reservation and pointed both of these items to them. THe next day, they nastily wrote me back and said it is standard practice to include all reservation information and therefore, they are deleting my information and cancelling my reservation. I never asked to cancel, I was merely giving feedback. Also, my friend who is traveling with me called the evening before to confirm his reservation because he never got his email, and the person answering was extremely rude and when asked for an email, abruptly said, he does not handle that. What has happened to this nice friendly hotel? It is too bad. In any event, I will stay down the street at the San Vicente!
