This is my second stay at this beautiful hotel. Both visits were 2 nights or more. I travel frequently and I have to say, this magical place is one of my favorites ~ In fact, I find myself looking for an excuse to come back just so I can stay here again!! (no kidding). I am a historian and appreciate...

Jean the hotel's owner and caretaker was absolutely amazing! Her customer services was top notch and the room was absolutely adorable! Everything was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The Weaverville Hotel was not only charming, it was comfortable, quiet, clean and amazing. We were there for business but it turned into a nice little vacation for us. The hotel proprietor and staff were very welcoming and hospitable. The room was beautiful honoring the hotel's past. I loved staying at the Weaverville Hotel and hope that I get to...

As a corporate traveler, I am looking for 21st century luxury. But in the small towns there are not always main hotel chains, thus the case here in the mountains of California. With this hotel, although clean and well kept up, is a trip into the past. Before TVs and telephones in the room. But it is the experience of...

When we called to make a reservation, the phone was answered immediately and in a very friendly fashion. Checking in was easy. We were welcomed so warmly and treated like old friends ... we also decided to patronize the Emporium. There, we found a variety of interesting gift items and lots of colorful and fragrant soaps to bring home for...

What a wonderful experience shopping in the Weaverville Emporium next to the Weaverville hotel. The owner was so helpful and spent a lot of time making sure I got just the right size yoga pants which are so comfortable. She even measured the length with her ruler so that I would know just how many inches to turn them up....

A word of caution...I gave the WH a five star rating but if you are considering staying there don't confuse that rating with a five-star hotel in New York or San Francisco. But if Weaverville is in your travel plans I would definitely recommend it over any other place in town. Everyone at the hotel is super friendly (including Jesse...

I drove into Weaverville on a January morning for a business day trip and realized that I forgot my jacket at home. It was 37 degrees and I decided to shop for a jacket. On the ground floor store of the Weaverville Hotel & Emporium, I noticed clothing stacked in hangers and I walked in hoping to buy something. But...

My husband and I took a side trip to the Trinity Alps on Jan 2, 2015. We booked the Weaverville Hotel and thought we would stay one day. Our Room was superb, welcoming with the fireplace and sitting area and our host and hostess Jeanne and Brian were so accommodating. The chocolates at bed turndown were scrumptious. They also had...

When we booked the Weaverville Hotel it looked like a great location, right in the middle of the historic district in this Gold Rush era town. The best surprise was how the owners, Jeanne and Brian treated us like old friends and did everything to make our stay perfect. We hope to return to see all the seasons in Weaverville.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The hotel, originally built in 1861, was last rebuilt in 1880 after burning to the ground. We have painstakingly restored it to the original high ceilings and wood floors, attempting to recapture as much of the original charm as possible. Private bath with shower in all rooms, most also have claw-foot tubs with bubble bath. All rooms are air conditioned with ceiling fans; most also have gas log fireplaces, a welcome feature during our colder months. Prime retail therapy is to be had in our great little Emporium downstairs where everything from sterling silver jewelry to women's clothing to great gift items can be found. The emporium is open every day, 9am till 6pm except Sundays, 10am-6pm. That's every day of the year! ... more   less
