Hotel is located right across from the train station and bus stoos close by. Has McD and other food options around the corner. The P'Nut restaurant was our favorite.
Friendly and helpful staff. They always had fruit infused water at the recption for patrons to help themselves to.

Came from interstate and met with colleagues for a conference the following day. Not
overly happy with dinner menu so dined out at one of the many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Decided to have coffee and a nightcap in the hotel's bar when we got back at 9.50 pm (Thursday evening). Coffee machine and bar staff had all
been put to bed. Most disappointing...
Early breakfast the following morning was plentiful and varied.
The room was very comfortable w/- comfy king sized bed, spacious bathroom and all
of the standard items one expects to find in a mid-range hotel today. The hotel was very clean and tidy and the staff were very courteous and friendly.
As my conference was a short taxi ride away, the location was as convenient as one would like and was within a price range that is expected for this standard of hotel.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Novotel Sydney Olympic Park as it was most conveniently located to the hospital that my son needed to attend at Strathfield. The check in process was quite smooth and whilst the parking was limited at times, it was adequate. We booked 2 rooms. The corner room was nice and large, and had a great outlook, however, when we arrived, there was a service person doing electrical testing in the kitchen. He had headphones on and was obviously listening to something that made him unable to hear that we had come in. After a minute or so, he finally realised that we were there. He left dust and residue on the kitchen bench so I had to clean up afterwards. The other room that we booked was a standard twin room and much smaller. Unfortunately there was used milk left in the fridge. The interior furnishings of the rooms are looking a little dated now and could do with some upgrading.
We dined in the restaurant for one breakfast and one dinner. Unfortunately, the chef on breakfast obviously didn't understand what dairy and gluten free means as we ordered dairy free scrambled eggs with gluten free toast. A beautiful, large plate of toast, eggs and hash browns was brought out by the waitress. I questioned whether the hash browns were gluten free as they are not in the other Accor Hotels that we stay at regularly. Shortly after, then chef came out to collect the hash browns as she confirmed that they were not gluten free. I then had a feeling that something was not right with the eggs. Sure enough, when I questioned it again, she had put cream in the eggs! It could have completely ruined our trip and it left me very reluctant to dine there again.
There was noise from night activities and events in the area but that all subsided at a reasonable hour so our sleep was not disturbed too much. Great location near Accor Stadium, Qudos Bank Arena, Monster Skate Park, Train station. I was a little disappointed with the lack of variety of restaurants in the area.
The parking was $44 per 24 hour period for Accor Plus members and it was convenient to be able to come and go under the one fee. We would stay again if we needed to be in the area but I would be very cautious again about dining in the restaurant due to our allergies.

From the booking online to the checkout everything was incredibly smooth. We booked a short stay as my wife had to appear an online Exam via zoom so wanted the peace and quiet. Check in was fast and smooth, the hotel was busy as they were hosting the womens basketball world cup, however we were in our room in a matter of minutes. The view was quite spectacular and the bed was super comfortable. We asked for an ethernet cable to ensure there was no internet drop outs and this was delivered within 30 minutes to our room, even though to be honest the wi-fi internet speeds were outstanding. The bathrooms are a bit tiny and dated and missing the luxury feel you would expect of a Novotel, however everything was clean and functional. The room was missing bath robes and slippers (this would have been a nice touch). The bed and work stations were extremely comfortable and we all slept like babies.
The surrounding area is great, plenty of food options, bars and access to public transport. The only thing that could be better is the restaurant inside the Novotel has a very restricted menu (bar menu only) which was a bit of shame, however the food served was great and moderately priced. Buffet Breakfast was adequate but missing an egg station.
The best part of our stay was Amir. We were walking out in the morning for a Maccas run next door, when Amir said hi to our 2.5 yr old daughter Amelia, he was very friendly with her and asked her name, he then went inside and got her a little goodie bag with her name written on it! How nice of him, this was the icing on the cake for our short trip to the Novotel and wanted to thank him again for the gesture :)

Had one night and the service was excellent. The ladies on reception were very helpful with train details and after booking out to attend the netball game in the afternoon they allow us to leave our ports there. Collected after the game and walked to the train station.

We visited for a quick weekend from NZ to go to Festival X at Sydney Showground. As we were coming in on Friday night and leaving early Sunday AM we wanted to be as close to he venue as possible and the Novotel was perfect. The event finished at 11pm and after a short walk with 50,000 other people, we were back in our room by 11.20pm.
Has a cool lobby bar for you to catch up with friends before heading out to your event and plenty of options around the hotel for meals.

From check in I felt valued. There was a long line due to the Coors concert (seriously why don't hotels just hire extra staff during special events?) but was allowed priority check in despite just being a classic member and upgraded to the suite. Which I'm glad I was because there was interconnecting rooms which meant I could hear the other guests but not with the door closed.
Comfy beds, better smart TV's then other hotels I've stayed in (I can actually stream to them) and I didn't get woken up by trains so I had a good sleep.
The only complaints I have is $39 for breakfast is a rip off and not allowing us to purchase individual items meant I had to spend my money elsewhere and they doubled their prices for the Kiss concert but didn't for the Coors. So the special events rate was inconsistent. But I did enjoy my free coffee.
However please consider allowing guests to purchase individual items other hotels I have stayed it offer cheaper breakfast. Like the Rydges was only $27.
But despite these small issues I will stay again next time I go to a concert. If it's available (sadly it isn't available for Blink 182)

We stayed here on Saturday night, as my Grandson had a swimming carnival across the road at Olympic Park today (Sunday).
We arrived from the Central Coast, on an extremely hot day with temps of 48’.
Our room cooled off in no time and we spent a lazy arvo, doing nothing.
Room was clean and my double bed was comfortable and fresh.
Bathroom was clean and our request for extra towels each, were supplied graciously.
Staff on arrival were capable and we were booked in with a minimum of fuss.
I wasn’t a fan of the shower over the bath. I find this a little unsafe, particularly for older people.
We enjoyed our buffet breakfast.
Which included all the usual things you would expect at a breakfast buffets.
We experienced a hiccup when leaving as fire engines were out front, following a severe, problem with leaking water.
We were advised not to use the lifts.
As we were loaded up with overnight bags for three, toiletry bags, and a huge swimming bag it was difficult going down 14 flights of stairs.
We had to leave, due to the early warm up, and start of the carnival.
I know this couldn’t be avoided, but it did takeaway from an otherwise lovely stay at Novotel.

No TV remote then no answer from reception. There was also no bathroom consumables. Considering the price of the room you would expect these small things to be taken care of.
Was sent a survey and an option for direct contact to address the issues and never received a reply.

Checked into the Novotel for the Elton John concert and their lifts aren’t working beyond Level 6. They offered us an upgrade to a suite on Level 11 if we were happy to walk up a few stairs - yes please, that would be great. Then they also give us free breakfast, complimentary parking, free drink vouchers, bottled water AND 50% off the accommodation. They even carry your bags up the stairs for you. For two minutes of cardio we think it was well worth it. Great staff and awesome location with well appointed rooms and dining areas. We will be back.
