The stay was comfortable. Covid-19 safety precautions were solid. Breakfast was surprisingly good, given the circumstances (though largely of the cold variety). The pool was drained (modulo snow!), and hot tub was available by reservation, with the hanging lights outside adding to the magic of hot tubbing in the snow. The staff was great. Rick at the front desk helped recover my son's wallet with all contents intact, connecting with me based solely on the last name on cards in the wallet. The free city bus (TART) no longer picks up right outside the hotel (but does still drop off there); you must walk 10 minutes down the path alongside N Shore Rd to the Raley's/Soaring Way stop. It's still a good option for accessing Northstar, with buses coming hourly, rider occupancy low, and one less hop to get to the slopes. The elevator could be a lot faster. :-\

Hotel's Favourite
Clean, nice place to stay. COVID cleaning measures in place, each room has a seal on it when it is cleaned. I am not worried about COVID in particular but I like cleanliness so I was happy. Hampton Inns are always a good place to stay. Not fancy but nice enough to be comfortable. Walls seemed a bit thin but overall it was good. Would definitely stay here again, it is not far from downtown Truckee, it was easy for us to return when we got caught in a snowstorm. Room 304 overlooks the pool and main entrance. My only complaint is that the king bedding just barelyyyyy fits the beds. I had to keep putting the fitted sheet back on. Maybe they can fix that with some new bedding hotel-wide.

Great experience at the Hampton Inn in Truckee! We originally planned on just staying one day but ended up staying for four days instead. The 2 queen suite was enormous, super clean, and had a sink and microwave and plenty of plugs and USB ports by the bed. The little store by the lobby has water bottles for $1, frozen burritos for $1.50, turkey pot pies for $3.50, and even frozen meatloaf with mashed potatoes for $5! And the staff were super friendly and helpful. Thank you Naomi for all the ski resort advice!!

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting. Hotel is about 5 minutes away from downtown. When we arrived it was pretty empty. Staff was friendly. Our room was on the top floor (3rd) as requested. Room was small and interior was dated. The shower, wall paper, chair, very dated as well as the small tv. However, it had a microwave and mini fridge so it had all the amenities we needed. The hotel was pretty empty. Most of the top floor seemed empty except they had to put someone right next door to us! 1 door down would’ve been great but no. We could hear them slam the door and shower which sucked. Take and go breakfast super simple. Cereal, bagel, yogurt, juice. Location is good, not too far from downtown to get food but rooms need to be updated. Pool was closed due to snow fall earlier in the week. No house keeping due to Covid. Our room only had 2 sets of towels so I had to ask for more at the front desk and toilet paper. We ran out of the roll there (no extra) and ran out of Kleenex too. Overall decent and had what we needed but definitely a lot of room for improvement.

Upon check-in after an eight hour drive, I was greeted by Naomi and Tori at the front desk. Our interaction was pleasant. They were extremely professional and extremely helpful with questions that I had pertaining to my hotel reservation and with questions pertaining Truckee. Hands down, they were the best that I have come across. I recommend staying here. Professionals at heart. The hotel itself is also immaculate. The rooms are very clean. you will not be disappointed.
