Great people at front desk and at the restaurant Manzanita. Both dinners at Manzanita were excellent. Room could have been cleaner and in better working order, but the hotel staff worked to resolve the issues quickly.

This hotel has exceptional staff that knows how to serve. The downside is that from a maintenance/working order perspective, the hotel could make improvements. None of the issues were insurmountable, they just need specific attention to address.

Due to a snow storm, the hotel was understaffed and many experiences fell woefully short! From front-desk check-in to club-level access, to the pool, True North ski rentals, to the Spa, and even "smores making" were failures. This GM needs to be retrained or replaced. The culture is the brand and this particular week, the failed miserably. Our family won't...

Excellent hotel! We got a one bedroom and it was very comfortable for a family travelling with 2 kids. Ski concierge service was excellent as well as north star services (classes and ski rental). Restaurants were good, specially Manzanita. We missed an indoor pool which would definetly complement the whole experience specially for the kids!

From the minute you arrive until you leave hotel and hotel staff is very welcoming and comfortable. Sitting in the hotel lobby and taking in the...

We spent the weekend at the ritz after a meeting. The resort is beautiful and the rooms are so cozy with fireplaces in each room. It was so easy to ski right out the door in the mornings--the location on northstar can't be beat. The service and staff were great. We will be back someday- just hope there is snow...

Great, luxurious experience for the family. Ski lessons were top notch, food and drink was great, friendly staff, spa is about perfect, and it's dog-friendly. Great special occasion place, summer or winter.

I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to any family planning a ski trip to Lake Tahoe. The location is ideal to the slope and ski school. You can't beat Ritz-Carlton service. Yes it is expensive but well worth it. My kids are 4 and 6.

Context: We visited the Ritz (myself, wife & daughter) for a pre-Christmas ski outing. Pros: - It's the Ritz. You expect excellent accommodations/amenities and this Ritz delivers - Ski friendly...extremely ski friendly Cons: - SERVICE - Restaurants all lacked in service, staff was even rude. There are a few good apples that helped right a few wrongs but in general...
