Had a 3 night stay which I loved. Good communication with staff prior to arrival. The staff really made this trip special, especially being a solo traveler. From the moment I got on the boat transfer until leaving 3 days later, every member of staff was so friendly and engaging. I loved the beach bure, it was clean, comfy and so nice to be able to walk out straight into the sea and then snorkel with the impressive marine life and corals. Good food and drinks. Occasional WiFi issues and food unavailability but it still was an amazing place to holiday.

This is a beautiful island just off the coast of Fiji that is 30 minutes from Denarau by boat. We enjoyed walking around the island every day, picking shells and enjoying the waves. The reef, just steps in front of our bure (cabin), was beautiful, filled with coral and numerous kinds of fish. It is a snorkelers paradise with clear, warm water. Bring your own equipment (theirs was not the best--we had our own, thankfully). While walking, we discovered that one side of the island was windy and the other was very calm. One thing we didn't like was the amount of garbage washed up on shore that was not attended to. That could have been a daily job by staff there! The bure (cabin) was very cozy and clean. The TV didn't work and there was no remote for our ceiling fan however. The food was tasty, but often came out cold. If you are a couple, it is cost effective to do the half-board meal plan (one 3 course meal/day for 2). Breakfast is included in the basic price, but brewed coffee was not always available, and was cold the one time it was available. The staff did give us free latte's or a flat white from the bar, when pressed, when there was no brewed coffee. The massage therapist, Adi (pronounced Andi) was extremely friendly and did a great job. Make sure you ask for your free 10 minute foot massage (that another guest told us about, but we were not informed of by Serenity Island staff). There was no available cash on the island for tipping, so bring small bills. The nightly singing after supper around 8pm was fabulous entertainment, very lively and fun! One of our concerns was the honesty of some of the staff. We asked for a facecloth the first day and was told there were no face cloths. Then after a tip was left in the room, magically, face cloths appeared. Be sure of the prices that you are quoted as some times prices changed unexpectedly. We were told the half-board price changed while we were there, but they did honor the original price when pressed. As well, we were quoted a certain price for scuba at Treasure Island, but then the Dive Center at Treasure Island tried to charge more (note: they are not associated with Serenity Island Resort). Considering all, we would go back as we did enjoy our time there and really enjoyed the island and it's natural state and the wonderful staff. (However, there will be construction in the next few months that we were told about.) Also, be aware that January to April is the hot and rainy season.

BULA!! FIJI'S Serenity Island Resort gave us an unforgettable experience, which we could not have had anywhere, esp. staying away from the mainland. Being our first time in Fiji, we wanted to have an enjoyable Holiday and Serenity Island was perfect -- away from the crowds and the daily hustle/bustle. The Booking was perfectly managed and the Trip to the Island was perfect. The Welcome at the Island was amazing and from the time we landed, we were made to feel like we were at home. We opted for the Palm View Bure. Although it was nice, clean and quiet, Beach Bure would have been a better option. There were plenty of activities around the Island and we stayed for 7 Nights and especially enjoyed the Turtle Feeding, Fish Feeding off the Island, Setting up the LOVO, Removing the LOVO, Volleyball with staff and the Coconut Demonstration and Tasting with Daniel. My Wife enjoyed her 5-6 days with an artistically hand-made Coconut Leaf Beach Basket, which sadly we could not carry back. The Food was delicious, and the portions were considerably large. We had gone for an All Inclusive Package and that was a good pick and it came with an excellent choice of drinks at meal times, as well. Both the food and the drinks were presented nicely. There was a wide selection of dishes from the Menu and even after 7 days, we had more options we could have tried. Tried a few fish items on the menu like herb crusted fish & Grilled Fish and they were excellent. The Beauty of the Island was mesmerizing and the sunset was divine. Although, the sunset was on the other side of the Island, it was a nice 10-15 minute walk through the shaded trees and on the path clearly marked. Being the only Resort on the Island, it felt secluded and serene at all times. We thank all the Staff who went out of their way to make sure that our 25th Wedding Anniversary was memorable. All the Staff ensured that our requests were catered for. February, being the off season, was still enjoyable with less people around, but Serenity Island Resort ensured that we were looked after at all times. The Resort also ensured a quick clean up after a weekend of storms and heavy seas. We would not hesitate in revisiting the Resort, should we plan a Holiday in Fiji again. "Sota Tale"

We tried so hard to enjoy our time here. The staff are friendly but lack any type of guidance. The pool was out of order and unusable and had been for several days prior to our arrival. No improvement during our time there. The air conditioner struggled to cool the bure down during the day. The food was either just ok or really bad. The music in the bar and restaurant competed against each other so it was doof doof V’s Mariah Carey both of which wasn’t really suited to an island environment. The snorkeling was better than expected for an island so close to the mainland. Such a shame as this place has so much potential.

This was our second trip to Serenity . The island is absolutely beautiful and easily accessible from Port Denarau making it a really easy holiday destination to completely relax . Even when it was raining on the mainland the sun shone on Serenity Island ! All the staff are really lovely . The addition of Andie to the Spa is genius , she provides a really professional service in her salon nestled in amongst the trees ! We loved sitting out under the shade of the beach burres ( a few more would be great as sometimes there were none available ... ) . We will miss the nightly serenades from the staff at dinner , their voices and the joy they exude is heartwarming !

From front of house quick contact easy directions on how to get to the Island, great communication, lovely taxi driver at Nadi airport, driver took us to the kiosk at Denarau island, lovely lady stored our luggage until the boat arrived then helped us all to the boat. The captain and the guys took great care of us, arrived on the Island to a friendly welcoming, quick introduction to daily activities and tour the shown to our Bure. All the staff on the island have a wonderful friendly professional manner and certainly felt safe and comfortable. The Bure small but comfortable the bed especially was nice, pillows perfect, it was what we expected. Little tidy up with the curtains would work wonders. Furniture outside need a tidy up. But just small things. I would suggest a shop with small things like lavalavas Serinity tee shirts, dresses, hand fan, island differently need those to cool down and snacks, etc.
