After a less than pleasant night at a hotel on the south shore I was happy to find this hotel had - room available at a reasonable for a Saturday in August in the Tahoe area. The hotel looks older but really around the lake you cannot judge a book by its cover. The rooms have been updated, the wood... More

make sure u get your parking spot early, or risk not having one. that parking spot can fill up unexpectedly. walls are thin, so beware of that. bedding was decent but the floors are a little beaten. the jacuzzi was a very nice touch. can't beat the price though. good location in town, right next the beach. would stay again.

I see photos of this place that look great, but it was badly in need of paint. For $116, I thought my room would be better than it was, but it was no better than a Motel 6. It was Room 17 at the top of the stairs, above the office. I was traveling solo and don't mind small rooms,... More

This hotel is very good if you don´t want to spend too much and want to have a clean and comfortable room. Well located in the center of Tahoe City. You have a supermarket and some restaurants just crossing the street. Even though you have to pick your breakfast at the lobby and take it to your room it´s ok... More

If you plan to stay here, ask for a remodeled room. It is only a $20 difference but well worth the difference. The remodeled rooms have a new bathroom, new carpeting, and new paint. Otherwise, in a cheaper room, you will find an old, gigantic heart-shaped tub in the middle of the room, and the carpet is very old and... More

One word describes this hotel. Carpets were so filthy we couldn't walk around the room without shoes on. There were weak spots in the floor caused by water damage from the tub. There was no way to use the shower. The shower head was above the Jacuzzi tub and you had to stand 6 feet away from the nozzle. The... More

We stayed here for one night. When I booked the room it seemed that we were getting a good deal. We payed $163 for a family suite. The hotel is within 1-2 min from the lake and you can see the lake from the lobby. The room had seem better days. The fan and both portable A/C units did not... More

Had a one night stopover. Wanted a good bed and a clean room for a decent price. We got it. The room definitely needed work (lots of it), but for one night it was fine. The motel was quiet and apparently has a continental breakfast on weekends but we stayed on a weeknight. ..s.o.l....

This is an older inn that has seen some winters, but the location is easy to find and convenient to the lake. Yep! There's a heart shaped hot tub in the room. There is very little staff and reception desk hours are limited. So, no wake up calls or other typical desk services. It's kind of a rough place, but... More

I was nervous about staying at this little lodge because of many unfavorable reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised with the rooms and our stay was just fine. It is a motel and the rate is very cheap for the area. Rooms were comfortable, bathrooms recently renovated and clean. The shower got hot immediately, it was nice. Lobby area had... More
