I took my boyfriend here for his birthday weekend and it was perfect! From the welcome, to the couples massage and from the hors d'oeuvres hour to the dessert hour - all impeccable and all wonderful. The staff was super friendly and had awesome suggestions...More
Looks better then it is. The hotel is very cute, but the rooms need updating, especially the bathrooms.
We stayed here on the way to Big Sur from LA. It was quaint and fine for a night but far from anywhere for a late night...More

I've stayed a couple times--both on balcony rooms overlooking ocean with most freeway noise. I haven't found it to be a problem, but then I don't have expectations of intense quietude. I'd spend the weekend in the country if that were my goal. I prefer this part of town as it's very charming, quaint and close to the ocean. It's also very close to SB and Montecito (5-10 minutes). I think the price is great for the quality. It feels much more intimate and personal than larger hotels like the Montecito Inn or otherwise.
