The experience starts with a secluded walled driveway that wraps up the hill to the house hidden above. The views toward the mountains (my room had a private veranda facing them) are really nice. Lots of outdoor seating for those that want to enjoy the seclusion. There is a busy street at the bottom of the hill so a little...

We have had the good fortune to stay at the Arroyo Vista many times over the last few years. Without exception, our visits have always been a complete success. The owner and her staff are friendly and convey a real sense of caring about their guests. The rooms are all extremely comfortable and make you feel very much like you're...

A wonderful place with fabulous views high up on the hill in Pasadena. Great service and breakfast, comfy beds and great flexibility after an early morning flight. Easy directions provided. Easy to book online. Thank you - we will be back😀

Is a pretty good value and pretty comfortable place. Has good breakfast and friendly staff during week I stayed. In particular I liked reading the newspaper with a glass of wine in the first floor ante room.

We stayed a week at the Arroyo Vista Inn. This is a beautiful house, but unfortunately at our visit it was under transition to new ownership. Staying in B&Bs has become our preference for our vacations for the last several years. The hot breakfast part of this has been one of the niceties we looked for in B&Bs and this...

The location was up high on a hill which made it really nice and above the fray. Tree filled grace and serenity. All the hallmarks of a classic hospitable Inn, with a helpful staff and an excellent breakfast. My husband and I stayed there for craftsman tour. My husband and I were immersing ourselves in the Craftsman vernacular of Old...

The home was beautiful. Our room (#2) was lovely with a nice balcony and clean. Not that the balcony is shared so you need to close the curtains when dressing. Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday was good -- fruit and choice of egg, waffle plus lovely whole grain bread. Monday had a continental breakfast buffet. Each evening there was a...

This is the best B&B in the area. The rooms are elegantly appointed, quiet, clean and the entire place is restful and homey. I've recommended this place many times and I've stayed here myself at least a half a dozen times. I don't know what the new ownership will be like. I'm hoping that they maintain and/or improve the evening...

My husband and I just returned from a three-night stay at Arroyo Vista Inn. We were down in the area for our daughter's college graduation, which was at Staples Center in downtown L.A. Downtown hotel prices for the busy June travel season were off the charts, even for less-than-5-star hotels, PLUS after you adding hotel tax and paying for parking...

Like others, we found that not being greeted on arrival and never meeting the owner made it a most un b&b like experience. It's a lovely old house with character and the public rooms are stylish, but our bedroom (Tree House) was lacking in many basics. Unreliable water in the bathroom, a tiny wardrobe with 3 old hangers in it,...

Please excuse our mess while we move and change owners! Arroyo Vista Inn has been a joy and a challenge during its first 9 years of operation. We are extremely proud to have received the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for the past 5 consecutive years. We so appreciate the trust guests have put in us by returning time after time....
