The reason for it's name is it actually sits on top of the hill overlooking the town below and the surrounding foothills. The rooms are very well appointed and the beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. Rhonda, Fred and Megan are extremely delightful and wonderful hosts and the grounds are so inviting to just sit on the porch swing and...

This is the best of the best. I could go on, wax eloquent about their overriding hospitality: their welcoming rose garden, their elegant Victorian home (refurbished to the nth degree, including discreet A/C) , many whimsical Victorian scenes (inside & out) which captured our imaginations . . . .and, as I wax on, I could never do them justice. As the previous reviews have already noted, this is a delightful and relaxing place to stay. Rhonda had "upgraded" us, which was appreciated, but it seems like all of the rooms would be good. The rooms are quiet, tastefully decorated, scrupulously clean and nicely equipped for comfort (such as a power cord for recharging and bottles of water) All this...

I think this was our fourth visit to this lovely place. The innkeepers, Rhonda and Fred (now assisted by Megan) are wonderful hosts. If you appreciate wonderful old homes filled with lovely antiques, and accompanied by world class gourmet breakfasts, this is for you. The inn is situated on top of a large hill in downtown Sonora, but totally isolated...

Our stay was incredible! This is no ordinary B & B! The breakfast they serve is an event not to be missed! Scrumptious gourmet breakfast like no other! Our room was spotless and impeccably decorated in antiques and boutique finery. Service was exemplary. Very relaxing stay. The ambience of the inn is beguiling--with antiques and hidden treasures to delight the...

There is a reason that all of the reviews are five stars. There's nothing not to like! Echoing previous reviewers, the rooms are gorgeously decorated, the breakfast is delicious, special, and beautifully presented, and Rhonda and the house itself are welcoming and warm. It's also a great location, up on a short hill above Sonora. We brought our two kids...

Our stay was amazing from beginning to end. As others have stated, we were greeted by two beautiful, loving, collies and escorted to the front door by them, along with a lovely Maine Coon cat. (I love animals, but if you are worried about pet allergies, they are not allowed inside). The Inn is incredibly furnished with beautiful and playful...

My parents from France came to visit us (we live in San Jose) and wanted to experience a bit more of the "far west", so between two visits to Columbia State Park and the Railtown 1897 State Historic Park in Jamestown, we were looking for a nice place for the family (4 adults, 3 kids) to stay and relax. I...

My girlfriend and I loved it. Rhonda is a wonderful host and an amazing cook. We heard that she is going to come out with a cookbook, so I hope to be one of the first to purchase it. This place is the best of both worlds, a wonderful inn, a wonderful breakfast and a wonderful host. Thank you for...

Our family had an amazing stay at the Inn. We were kindly greeted in the parking area and directed to the front door of the Inn by two collies and a cat. I'm not kidding. Rhonda met us at the front door and showed us to our beautiful rooms. The rooms were wonderfully decorated and perfectly clean. We absolutely loved...
