The hotel is lovely and the location is perfect. The rooms were very modern and we had French doors that opened out to a small patio overlooking the pool. Bathrooms very modern. Free wine tastings in the afternoon and a free shuttle to the main square where you have many dining options.

This applies to the town and the hotel, both were welcome retreats from a busy road trip round California. We didn't try the restaurant alongside the hotel as there were many alternatives in the lovely town but there was a fully functional coffee shop within the hotel to deal with coffee emergencies. There is normally a wine tasting given by...

Everything this spa does was wonderful. The steam sauna and the whole outdoor area that is designated for spa patrons are extremely pleasant and comfortable. I enjoyed my massage with the lady the name of whom I unfortunately forgot. The body lotion shower gel etc smells most wonderful. Definitely recommend it and the food i had at the carneros restaurant...

I have stayed at the Lodge numerous times over the last 1-1/2 years when I travel to Sonoma for work. I always felt that the property seemed quite dated and in need of some improvements. Fortunately, the Lodge started renovations in January to all the rooms. I got to stay in one of those rooms in the cottages this week...

The hotel is amazing!!! You should stay there. The spa, however, is a completely different animal. So. The hospitality at the hotel was incredible and helpful. However, at the spa, we spent over $250. Yet we weren't permitted to use the spa poo (which was for those hotel guests that "used the spa and wanted the experience that went along...

Spent a couple of nights here last month and was blessed with a crappy roof top view. Never repeat. Don't waist your time, money, or points on this property. Lots of better places close by. Mike Marriott guy 100s of nights and counting

This review is for both hotel and spa - great resort and excellent stay! The hotel: friendly, attentive at the front desk, even during its busy times. I had one of the beautiful updated rooms in the main building, (it didn't have a view which I didn't care) -- I asked for a quiet room and it was exactly what...

We really loved the updated Lodge. Great check in and we were given an updated room. Nice wood floor, spacious, very comfortable bed. Two problems. The new bath/shower has a very wide rim and no hand rails. Difficult for anyone over 60 with joint issues. Wish they had modernized with a walk in shower. Second problem. The nice big HD...

We have often visited Sonoma in February and usually the weather is nice. This year it was a bit chillier than we've had but we still love The Lodge and the area. The Lodge was undergoing some renovations which was not really an issue except there was still a strong chemical smell (carpet, paint?) that made it difficult to sleep....
