We decide to take a road trip to try the elusive Pliny the Younger tripe IPA. We found a great rate through Trip Advisor and booked 2 nights. Everything was nice at the hotel and the junior suite was a good choice for us. Hotel...More
This is a nice small hotel in the center. Everything is just round the corner. Rooms are old style, but comfortable. The breakfast was just avarage, but a good start for a day. Free parking is also available close by. Over the weekend the front...More

Go to the visitors' center in the Old Railroad Square district in Santa Rosa. It's in a park across from the Hotel La Rose. They have all the info you want for the entire area from Sonoma and Napa to north of Healdsburg with everything in between. Great maps as well.
Don't leave the window open, the hotel is located in a ghetto and the staff allows suspicious people to stay at the hotel. When I was there the floor smelled of marijuana. It's just not safe. Go someplace else.
