LOVE this place! On check in, Tom was very very friendly and pointed out several local places for us to go. Since there were 4 of us, we stayed in the delux suite which was worth every penny. Very clean, well-kept, and secure (had a security gate). We also had a balcony overlooking Main Street which was really fun just...

This was the first place my friend and I stayed after arriving in the US so we were very jetlagged. We found the staff friendly and willing to answer any questions that we had. We found the price very reasonable for such a great location. We hired a car but Santa monica beach and Venice beach were within close walking...

A friend and I did a 3 week trip around the US in September last year and this was our first stop. We were travelling from Australia so after the long haul flight we were hoping for the best and I have to say we were extremely pleased with this hotel. Perfect for travellers who are on a slight budget...

We stayed at the Sea Shore for 3 nights at the end of January for the first half of our week-long vacation in Southern California. Thanks to all the previous reviews on Trip Advisor, I knew exactly what to expect and was happy with our choice of lodging. It is a small motel on Main Street, within easy walking distance...

This facility is an older facility but it is clean and seemingly safe. The location is a block from the ocean and you are away from a lot of the hustle and bustle. Restaurants are within easy walking distance and a morning walk is a pleasure. You do not seem to be in the LA area when in this area....

Stayed here two nights, before returning back to Australia. Standard room, clean, tidy , comfy. Great Location. 10 minute walk to pier, 15 minute walk to great shops on 3rd st promenade. Opposite the farmers market, which is on Sundays. Had a great stay, and would stay here again for sure!

I rented a one-bedroom suite for 3 nights in January while on a combination business and pleasure trip. I booked directly with the motel over the phone. The rate including taxes and fees came to about $250 per night. Summary: Pros: The motel benefits from its location in downtown Santa Monica. Friendly, competent management Free off-street parking Spacious, clean suites...

Our family stayed here during our world trip and were very glad that we went on the advice of Trip Advisor. For the location - the Sea Shore is very well priced, clean and comfortable. It is not 5 star but we were aware of this. Tom and Ken - 2 of the employees were extremely helpful and went out...

An older property, style a little funky,a little noisy too. But the room was clean and well maintained, comfortable bed, plenty of hot water and a strong wifi signal - that's enough for me. The location is perfect, lots of shopping and dining nearby. Try Sunny Blue for some omusubi snacks! The staff could not be friendlier.

We are family with 1 teenager from Australia. Seashore motel is clean and the location is fantastic, great cafes & interesting shops. Walk to Santa Monica Pier & Venice Beach. Recommend the Novel Cafe on Main St for healthy yummy breakfasts.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
