We stopped and spend the night here on our way from San Francisco to Palm Springs. We got to visit a winery and enjoyed some local cuisine. The hotel itself is conveniently located near the 101. The front counter staff was friendly enough but not overly friendly enough to have a conversation with. Room was clean and so were the...

Only needed an overnight so wasn't looking for much. Excellent price so was willing to give it a try. Room was adequate for overnight stay given the price. But when I spread out the bath towel mat, there were footprints all over it. Reused I guess. Then found used coffee filter in coffee maker. Room appearently not serviced well. Complained...

We were there for work. One story motel/hotel ,which is average. On the outside does not promise much. The price is affordable. The front desk staff was polite . The rooms seem remodeled, the rooms were clean , you have a flat screen tv , fridge and microwave oven. The bathroom was clean . The bed was comfortable . There...

I only needed a place to sleep for one night while I was in Santa Maria for a conference. This is a one story drive in motel where your parking space is right in front of the room. No pool. I was able to check in and enter my room at 2pm. Check out was 11am next day. The room...

Me and my fiance are on a three week road trip in Cali. I was planning on writing my reviews when we got back, but if me taking a few minutes of my vacation writing this saves someone the same experience we've had it'll be worth it. We booked one night at this place just passing through Santa Maria. Since...

There's only one man at the front desk, and need to push ring to call him. When we arrived there're plenty of empty room, we wanted to change a room, but he refused. The wifi signal is very weak. And the password he told me was totally wrong, and he even didn't know the password. We had to use a...

I stayed here with my husband and had a nice experience. It's quiet and property is clean. Rooms are a good size and are clean, which is what is important to me. Manager was nice and helpful. the breakfast was simple, just what a continental breakfast is and was perfect for our on the go trip.

I stayed at this hotel last night and the fire alarms went off four times. They woke me up at ten, and again around midnight in two different intervals each. I called to ask what was going on and the guy at the front desk (who barely speaks English) says that someone was smoking outside my door and he was...

I booked a room for 2 nights for Labor Day weekend. After reading the scathing reviews, I tried to cancel my reservation. The manager/owner was extremely rude and would not waive the cancellation fee (one night + taxes) even though I only booked the room 10 minutes prior. On Labor Day Weekend, they should have people breaking down their doors...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It's one thing to claim you are environmentally friendly. It's another to prove it in everything you do. The Solaire Inn and Suites, the first entirely eco-friendly hotel in the Santa Maria California Region, does just that.Water is our most precious resource. Low flush toilets and low flow showerheads were installed in every guest room at the Solaire Inn and Suites. Our low flush toilets save over half a gallon of water with each flush compared to regular toilets. Native and drought landscape around the hotel also helps reduce water use.We believe that every bit helps, no matter how big or small. We make it easy for guests to recycle and conserve resources when they stay at Solaire inn & Suites. Recycle bins are located in every guest room and throughout the property. Complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby rather than delivered to every guest room, and guests are encouraged to re-use their bath towel. This summer, 100 LED lighting will be in place. In addition, we will also be offering an Electric Car Charging Station. The Solaire inn & Suites® hotel is conveniently located near several area attractions and local points of interest. Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts theater, the Santa Maria Speedway, the Santa Maria Public Airport, Vandenburg Air Force Base and The Natural History Museum are all just minutes away from this Santa Maria, CA hotel. Nearby cities include Pismo Beach, Lompoc, San Luis Obispo, Shell Beach and Avila Beach. The hotel is nestled in the foothills of Santa Barbara County wine country. Explore the Foxen Canyon Wine Trail that runs through the area showcasing miles of sprawling vineyards. Several golf courses are in the area along with a number of lakes and beaches.
