I'm one of those people always looking for a deal but really wary of budget hotels. boy, was I pleasantly surprised. Staff is friendly and efficient. Really helpful. Room was spotless, new furniture, AC, cable, coffee machine and microwave. No burns in the carpets; fresh towels and even a small Jacuzzi outside. Is it fancy? No. But it's a great...

We decided to come look for a room instead of book one online. So glad we did. We have had a run of filthy motels everytime we came to Santa Cruz. But this is definitely where we will book again. The room we were in is comparable to a Holiday inn. Very clean with a suite like setting.. The room...

This hotel is a short drive up the coast from the Boardwalk, a pretty drive at that. It's close to shopping and restaurants (Safeway, Panda Express, Gamestop, etc). The area felt safe and everyone was friendly. It is a one story place with doors leading outside, which normally would feel scary to me, but not here. The rooms were updated...

Staying here for one night. At a glance the place looks ok. No parking available on premises with a late return to room after visiting boardwalk at night. Had to park on Swift and walk ourselves in. Other gripes are the towels are microscopic/threadbare, shower head is super low (I'm 5'3") and the room was dusty/bathroom floor was filthy.

Simple not fancy motel like atmosphere in Santa Cruz which does not offer much in hotels ..for the money good deal and George in reception so helpful when booked as well as when had credit card billing issue after our stay. George was very professional Not really a pool more like wading area or jacuzzi . Breakfast was as others...

The beds were comfortable enough and everything was clean, booked as just a place to sleep and it did the job. There were a couple of strange features; like the 'swimming pool', a wipe clean remote and the switch which seemed to turn the bathroom into a tanning room?

Have to say our stay was ok until I made the mistake of leaving a new pair of damp shorts on the windowsill. I forgot about them - they were new so weren't a part of my wardrobe - and checked out. Called a day later and was told that they weren't in lost & found. I asked if they...

We had a nice stay at the Sunset Inn during the busy summer season. The rooms are spacious and clean, although they are starting to show their age. The free wifi was a nice and useful amenity, allowing me to work remotely without any problems. Breakfast was included with the room but it was nothing special, so we decided to...

Last minute booking, but room was big, clean, and more adequate than I expected. Complete with fridge and microwave. I would stay here if you want a no nonsense comfortable nights rest. We stayed at red lion in eureka and it wasn't as nice as this.

What a bad experience this was. First, they didn't make our beds nor change the towels which were thin and on the cheap side. Then, when I was looking for my book that had dropped down into the headboard, I found somebody's shirt. This was more evidence that they barely clean the place. The cost was high $490.00 for 2...
