We had an amazing time and enjoyed every day we were there. It was nice to wake up and go downstairs, straight to the beach. Also, March is still a bit nippy out, so it was very pleasant for my children and I, to enjoy the heated pool and hot tub.

Super hotel on the beach with a. great restaurant and view and close to the boardwalk. Beware, look up times that the rides are open if you are planning to go for that. We went on a Friday and the rides were closed. Bummer!

What is the check in policy for this hotel ( can you leave a cash deposit on check in etc ). Thanks
They always get an impression of a credit card. I do not know if you can use cash. Sorry.

When I stayed there parking across the street was free and valet was $20 or $30. You need to check directly with the hotel for their fees. The hotel is very close to the pier and you can drive onto the pier. I don't think I would spend more than one night in Santa Cruz. I would suggest driving from Santa Cruz to Monterey and possibly spending the night there if you want to go to the aquarium or looking around Monterey and then taking the 17 Mile Drive thru Pebble Beach (start on the north end because all of the pullouts are on the right) and then stay in Carmel to explore Big Sur area. I went as far as McWay Falls 29 miles south of Carmel in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. You can either hike down to an overlook or pull off the main road and see the falls. Really beautiful and there are many parks and scenic places to stop along the way. You'll enjoy staying in Carmel much more than Santa Cruz. Kent

Have an amazing time with your family! I am, unfortunately, not the correct person to ask because I traveled alone. I am not familiar with the suite that you mentioned or the other hotel. I do know that the representatives of The Dream were extremely helpful so I'd strongly lean towards staying there but having another conversation with the hotel manager to clarify would be best. Easy travels!
