We booked 3 nights and stayed only 2 (negotiated 1/2 off for unused night). Bed was horrible, no A/C (it was hot), only floor fans. Poor finishes not much better than a motel. Inadequate bathroom facility. Hot Tub was full of foam. The residential area that it's in was run down and looked like questionable areas of LA. During the...

The grounds are very pretty and the location is up a few blocks from State Street in a residential area. Offers a full library of local tourism and dining options. The breakfast was good ... and the evening wine and snacks, fine. It is decorated simply with average quality, grandma-esque furnishings. Many hand painted pieces created by the French owner...

Well, according to some previous reviewers---THIS INN IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. I only ended up staying in a B&B near the kitchen once & my experience was totally opposite I awoke to wonderful aromas of cooking breakfasts (and, yes, some noise). It is the best wake-up I have ever had. Reminded me of when I was a child & Saturday...

I chose this place for our first visit to Santa Barbara based on TA reviews and pictures. I goofed. We booked two nights but after the worst nights' sleep ever had to check out after the first night. The bed was like sleeping on a board. There was a sitting area in the cottage but unfortunately nothing comfortable to sit...

Unfortunately I booked one of the 2 rooms in the main house. You enter the room from the dining room. In my opinion these 2 rooms should not be used for the B&B unless you don't mind waking up early and it is definitely not for a romantic vacation. Cottages and gardens were nice looking. My bed was extremely hard...

We stayed in the room that is attached to the kitchen and located within the main quarters. You can pretty much hear all activity and people walking in and out of the kitchen. There is also a living room next to the kitchen and you can hear all activity and conversations. The staff and manager were very friendly. They offer...

We had to attend a family function in Santa Barbara and wanted to be close to my husband's cousin's house so we close the Secret Garden Inn only for location. What a nice treat. It was like staying at your old aunt's home. We got there just in time for a complimentary glass of wine and some cheese under the...

We went for a quick get-away and were not disappointed. The appeal for us was the private hot-tub, made private by the patio shed walls. Just beyond we could hear our neighbors in the garden and through the bedroom walls we could hear the all-night crying of our other neighbors' baby. Tiny room, small TV, no floor-space, warm and friendly...

Our cottage was tastefully appointed with decor that was contemporary and yet reminded us of deepest Provence. Everything was fresh and immaculate, and kept that way with daily maid service. Our romantic private mini-garden was a wonderful secluded place to read and relax. The fact that the beautiful 100 year old house and lush grounds are off the well-beated Santa...
