Lovely place to stay. The view was what really makes the place, nice gardens on grounds too. Restaurant on site is good but a bit pricey. We saw bottle nose dolphins from the point view on the property, that was cool. Bed wasn't the most comfortable, but the fireplace in the room was a very nice touch. This was close... More

My husband and I spent two nights at Ragged Point celebrating our anniversary, we stayed in a "Deluxe" upstairs room. Other than the spectacular views and a nice Jacuzzi tub there was nothing Deluxe about the room. Curtains pulls were broken, very hard to open & close. Bed was uncomfortable with poor quality sheets & blanket. The tub had missing... More

Having low expectations is always a good place to start; we should have known that the place with a vacancy on a busy night in August might be dicey. But the website looked good... The place was acceptable - nicely located, anyway - though the gardens under-watered with drip hose exposed, ugly fencing to protect the drunk or foolish from... More

Whenever we travel down the coast from the San Francisco Bay Area, we always stay at least a night at Ragged Point, and two nights if we want to spend a day exploring Hearst Castle, which is only about a 12-mile drive to the south. If your stay in the area is centered around visiting Hearst Castle, you may prefer... More

Ragged Point is a great place for a family to stay before or after driving the Big Sur road. We booked late and still managed to get one cliff edge room for us and a less good one for the kids (they are only interested in the tv frankly). There's only one dining option - at the onsite but separately... More

Nice and comfortable bedrooms. Pretty view from the room (mine was a ground floor room in the garden building) and beautiful view from the gardens. Really nice and short trail takes you down to a small rock beach, definitely worth doing at sunset. A bit pricey but worth it!

We stayed here 2 nights on the Big Sur leg of our trip. The cliff-side rooms offered an amazing view, and the first night we watched a striking sunset; the sun seemingly melted into the Pacific Ocean. The second night the seasonal fog rolled in, so we felt lucky to have seen that lovely view the first night. Used this... More

My boyfriend and I decided to take a long vacation and drive the PCH. Along the way, we found Ragged Point Inn. I love this place. The views and location are just incredible. The rooms face the ocean and it was great to sit outside on the patio and read a book and listen to the ocean. The restaurant on... More

This is a beautiful stop on a beautiful drive along the Pacific Coast Highway. It's great for a one-night stop along the way (I'm not sure folks would stay longer unless they're doing some serious hiking, in which case they might be camping anyway). The grounds, and views from the grounds, are extraordinary. The hiking trail was a bit too... More
