Every room is different and our room was no exception. We stayed in 133, Cabin Still. The room has a large curved copper clad wall designed to look like an old still. There are a couple of rock walls and a rock floor. If you stay in this room, be sure to bring your slippers as the floor is uneven....

2 words: tourist trap. After wanting to come here since I moved to California 10 years ago, I was extremely disappointed in our stay. First off with no reasonable notice (in tiny print on confirm) we were moved to a different room our second night (from Yahoo to Daisy Mae). No apology made, in fact they were like 'you're lucky...

Situated just off the motorway, on the Madonna Road, in San Luis Obispo . Plenty of parking directly outside all of the rooms. We were told what to expect, but until you have experienced it, words cannot do it justice. A motel where each room is themed to the extreme. Best to check out the rooms on their website. Friendly...

Different themed rooms to choose from. It may be cheesy & over the top, but it gives a unique experience! I've stayed in the Caveman Room, so that was a trip! Be careful, though, when showering in there. The bathroom for the Caveman Room is made to resemble a cave as well, and with the rocky, uneven shower floors, it...

To be honest, the Inn is not everybody's cup of tea. Some people, pull into the carpark, take one gander at the gaudy building, with its rollicking spiral staircases, multiple balconies, pink faux-Tudor towers with cupolas and turn the car around continuing towards San Francisco. how much kitsch is too much? there are 109 rooms, with no two alike. Our...

This place is magical. Wish I could arrange to be there when their Christmas decorations are up but anytime, it is a treat. I've stayed in various room over the years and look forward to trying many more. Each room has a different theme and each is exceptionally clean and well done. The bubble gum pink dining room serves the...

When I first encountered this place in the early 60’s I was overwhelmed by its ridiculous excess and to me at the time, bad taste. Among my friends the thing to do was to stop for a banana split and look at the men’s room with the walk-in stone urinal. Now 50 years later I am taken by the unique...

This place is great! The rooms are worth the trip, and I will be coming back again and again. All rooms are different, with a theme. You can live in a castle or in a cave, or in old Mexico. The food isn't fantastic, but it doesn't matter, because the place is.

Great destination stay with breakfast restaurant and dessert. Must have dessert to go or take home a whole cake. Don't forget to go up stairs to shop. Each room is different. Ask them to show the book of each room before deciding .

I stayed here late November 2014 and enjoyed the experience. It is not modern, so if that is what you are wanting, then I suggest you look elsewhere. I stayed in a two bedroom suite with a friend. It only had one bathroom though. The room had a fire place and you feel you were in a 'hunters lodge' out...
