I would give it 5 stars except for the traffic noise. Friendly staff. Beautiful hacienda style renovation. Elegant and simple. Clean room and very comfortable bed. Breakfast in the courtyard was fresh and delicious.

This is a lovely hotel with lovely grounds. The room was very nice with a nice sitting area. However...there was very loud traffic noise until after 10 pm at night. We don't think any of the rooms are privy to blocking this noise. The continental breakfast was yummy. Also had a glass of Viognier wine from their sister vineyards: Leal...

Just a lovely hotel, small, elegantly simple, well thought out renovation of an old lodge. Excellent, courteous service. Beautiful property in a charming little town. Serves breakfast in the courtyard in the morning -- and then lights all the trees at night, so that the whole place glows. Was with a group who all found it delightful.

Clean and spacious room ... beautiful outdoor courtyard ... tasty family made vino (in the evenings they sell it by the glass) ... and despite the adjacent highway noise, we had a very restful sleep and in the morning

I wish I could give this hotel 5 stars – their design aesthetic is really tasteful – the italian plaster walls were gorgeous, landscaping, twinkling lights fill the olive orchard at night, room furnishings are handsome, and I was blown away that the sheets and towels are FRETTE. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast featured fresh berries from a local orchard,...

I am so pleased that we didn't stay in Monterey. This is a great town with so much history and geological significance. A very clean and functional room, good breakfast (continental style, served outside if the weather is nice) and friendly staff. An easy drive back into Monterey as you're right on the freeway.

I was pleasantly pleased when my husband and I checked into the Hacienda de Leal. The Hacienda has been redone with a nice clean modern-ish aesthetic. The checkin was a breeze- the front desk staff was very accommodating - offering us early check in so we could get to an afternoon wedding. We went to our second floor room and...

My husband and I had never been to San Juan Bautista - it was a last minute get away for our anniversary. We pulled up and weren't too sure about the place, but once walking into the lobby to check in, it was a different world from the outdoors......the wood was burning in the courtyard's chimney and it brought back...

This place is a jewel! Can't imagine better accomodations for a stopover in San Juan Bautista. The rooms are spacious and very well appointed, with comfortable beds and great showers. The grounds are planted with grape vines and lovely trees, with lots of places to sit and appreciate the surroundings. Check in was friendly and helpful, and requests for wine...
