This family-run hotel is very friendly, comfortable and convenient for travelers transiting through San Francisco airport. The room was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. A jacuzzi bath tub was especially enjoyable after our long flight from London to San Francisco. The complimentary breakfast was quiet adequate, including bagels, fresh fruit, juice, Danish pastry, and coffee. The hotel also...

The San Carlos is a charming small hotel located right across from the CalTrain station in San Carlos (easy to travel north or south). A very comfortable room and bed, and a delightful staff. A retro vibe, but all the modern conveniences. Very reasonably priced.

This is a very popular hotel in San Carlos quite close to Oracle Headquarters at Redwood Shores. The property is very neat and clean. The hotel provides a continental breakfast and has 24x7 coffee as extra amenities. Overall a very nice experience.

Driving up to the Hotel San Carlos, it appears much like any other new-ish drive up motel/hotel. Greeted by a friendly soft spoken man, check in was simple and straight forward. No frozen fund collected deposits upon arrival was a nice addition as well. Was happy to sign the no smoking agreement. The room was on the ground floor beside...

Nicely appointed room, recently refurbished. Nominal breakfast. Easy access, no street noise. Mid-price, good value. Good choice relative to areas farther to the south. Easy access to downtown San Carlos. Hallway was a bit noisy with guests talking. Would recommend a few "Please be quiet, think of others" type signs.

Halfway through 8 day stay while working in Redwood City but felt compelled to review already. Really outstanding find - hotels in the Valley are either outrageously priced (and I'm from London!) or dirty travel motels in terrible locations, but this hotel manages to be the best of both worlds, the value of a travel motel, the quality and comfort...

Staying at the Hotel San Carlos is like stepping back in time in a way. Right off the highway. Park the car right outside your door. Little pool in a corner of the parking lot. Coke machine down the hall. Today, you wouldn't even consider staying in a place like this. This is an exception. The neighborhood is clean and...

Let me first state that I am a Hilton Honors Member but I find that when visiting Norcal, Hilton Hotels are a little to high on themselves as far as costs. To fix this, I have stayed several times at the Hotel San Carlos and found that the Hotel is nice, clean, great proximity to SFO and The City, along...
