We paid $80 for one night in a king room, the whole city seemed to be booked up. For a last resort it was pretty good. The room was clean and spacious, if a little dated. The staff were really friendly and the room was packed with amenities. Our room did have a bit of a smell coming from the...

I chose the Econo Lodge for its reasonable rate. The property is definitely dated but this didn't bother us a bit and it had no negative effect on our stay. The room was clean, comfortable and everything worked as it should. If I ever need to be in Downtown Sacramento, I would consider staying here again.

Thank you for taking time to post a review. We work hard to provide clean, comfortable accommodations at a fair price, and it's nice to know our efforts are recognized. We are in the process of making improvements, and intend to replace carpets, lights, furniture, and other items over the next few months.

While being centrally located in downtown Sac near the convention center and the capitol, the hotel room was very reasonably priced, and the customer service was outstanding. There is ample parking and the room was not impacted by traffic sounds.

This is an older motel. The owner has tried to update a little with paint. We did not have a bad room nor did we have any complaint with the cleanliness of the room. The sheets and towels were nice and white. There was plenty of hot water so I have zero complaints about any of that especially considering we...

Thank you for taking time to post a review. We are in the process of refreshing the rooms, and hope to have flat screen TVs in all rooms by the end of the year. Regarding the individuals walking around, unfortunately that is one of the side effects of being centrally located near downtown. We do have surveillance cameras, and don't...

I wouldn't say this place is bad but I wouldn't say its amazing either. The rooms were clean but just felt a bit beat up. The breakfast was minimal and a bit on the dryer side. I enjoyed the downtown location because I like to walk around and explore. Staff was friendly and courteous.

Thank you for the kind words. We completed our lobby expansion last year, made other improvements later in the year, and will be getting new carpets and other items later this year.

Obviously, Econo Lodge is not a deluxe lodging experience by virtue of its very low price. I just stayed there for three nights during the CCSA Conference. It's just close enough to the Sacramento Convention Center to be within a reasonable walk, and near a nice little strip of restaurants. The hotel was quiet enough, no unusual disturbances, and the...

I stay every week in Sacramento on business and have tried over a dozen hotels in the downtown area. This one is absolutely the worst place I've ever stayed in my entire life. I expected most of the awfulness that would accompany a $65/night hotel: thin walls, a heater that's either on or off and therefore the room is either...

Thank you for taking time to post a review. We work hard to ensure our guests have an excellent experience, and I am sorry we failed to meet that goal during your stay. I have avoided Econo Lodge hotels as I've always thought they were less than acceptable due to previous experiences. For the past 2 years, once a month I've stayed at a Quality Inn in downtown Sacramento for business. However, after doing renovations, they have raised their prices way too much. So I started looking around as I still have a...

Upgraded room was more functional & comfortable than a typical budget motel. It was clean with no off-odors. Modern high capacity heat/ac was quiet & odorless--better than experienced at many upscale hotels. Hot water within seconds, both tap & shower, despite end room on top (3rd) floor. Tub/shower upgraded with curve-out curtain & nice variable-spray head. King bed with comfortable...
