We booked a spot in this RV Park fro one night, and it wasn't what we expected. There was little to no grass. The staff were very friendly and helpful with questions on how to get to Lake Tahoe and Yosemite!

About half of the sites here are on pavement, many with trees. The other half are on gravel, no grass or trees. Neither are level. There is a large dog park (really large) with grass. Laundry, restrooms and showers, and that's it. There are bike/walking trails just off the entry road, that travel into downtown, or out of town.

If you just need a place to park, it's okay. We camped here in a VW Westfalia with our family. Park was a nearly empty, gravel parking lot. There is a river path adjacent and nice clean private bathrooms/ showers. Note that you MUST PAY A $20 DEPOSIT IN US CASH ONLY in exchange for a bathroom/ shower key and... More

I was pleasantly surprised by this RV park. It's smack dab in the middle of Sacramento, yet it was extremely quiet and set at the dead end of a road behind Cal Expo. Bathrooms were very clean and the park was well maintained. Arrived late in the evening and our reservation was all set up. Staff was very helpful and... More

There is an adult park in the area that we usually stay at. However, this trip I wanted very easy access to the American River bike trail right from the RV. This park has that. Check in was fast and easy (my wife loved Mabel the cat). The first area of paved sites slopes too much for my comfort so... More

We unexpectedly needed an overnight spot for us and our 5th wheel, they had plenty of spaces available but put us way out in the grave when there was paved spaces available. But, for $40 bucks it was good for a night with no need for amenities. They have full hook up which was nice in the 90+ heat! The... More

If you understand that this campground is about having a convenient location and not a place to reflect in nature, it is fantastic. It is paved (front lot) or gravel (back lot), and there are some trees and shade on the back-in sites around the fences. Spaces are quite large with room to park several vehicles next to your camper.... More

The park is at Cal Expo and, upon reflection, it is set up to accommodate folks that work that event so it's pretty basic. Most of the park is a lit lot with hookups set on endless gravel. There is a small portion of the park that is slightly more attractive, but despite open spaces during our stay, it was... More

I have stayed at Cal Expo many times great amenities showers but I have never been able to get their Wi-Fi to work and it's always when I complain it's being looked at and it never is...also a lot of homeless people that live all on the river seem to migrate by the RV park which concerns me I just... Although not scenic or full of amenities, this park is centrally located, nice wide spots & the staff is exceptionally nice. There are two areas, paved & gravel. The paved area has more shaft spots, needed when the temperatures get into the 90-100's! There is a small laundry, dog walk & you are close to the American River pathways. There... More
