The mission inn is a great place to go to put one in the holiday spirit. The presidential lounge is a very comfortable place to go and have a drink and people watch. My wife and I shared the chicken wings which were tasty but in our opinion had a bit too much sauce. The Christmas decorations were lovely! I would... More

The hotel, lights and unique rooms amazing..crowd control and availability of downstairs bathroom a problem as huge groups of non hotel groups of people are using facilities..only bath available to restaurant and bar users..There should be limited times where non hotel persons are able to walk through hotel lobby to view lights and decorations. We are yearly visitors and find... More

Real special place to stay a night or two ( or more ) I believe its been here since 1890 . Every place you look there is history to be found. The rooms are old but kept up very well. You get the feeling that no two rooms are a like . Great place to walk around and check everything... More

We took a family trip after Christmas to the Mission Inn to see the Festival of Lights, a spectacular display of lights and decorations. Don't miss the docent-led tour of the hotel and museum filled with photos and stories about this historic inn. Casey Cupcakes are a sweet treat and the Breakfast Burrito served in the restaurant was delicious and... More

Love, love, love the atmosphere and ambiance of the Mission Inn. Can't come back often enough! It's especially magical in December during the Festival of Lights. One of our favorite destinations. This stay our room had a quiet little personal courtyard and a view of the pedestrian street below with all the Christmas festivities and decorations. We were serenaded by... More

Tiny elevators and lots of nooks and crannies. We were here for the Festival of Lights. Well worth it. We just had a basic room and it was excellent. A little noisy, but tolerable. Our favorite "old school" hotel.

I celebrated my 49th birthday with dear friends at The Mission Inn for one night after Christmas. What a phenomenal Festival of Lights!! We enjoyed a holiday package which included room, tour, breakfast for 2 and complimentary valet service. The tour alone was worth the price (which wasn't bad!) I am pleased we visited after Christmas as the crowds were... More

The Mission Inn is one the places that we return to in order celebrate my wife's birthday in mid-December. And for those familiar with the Mission Inn, this is certainly the time of year to be there, with all of the wonderful holiday energy. We have always enjoyed our stay (hence, the reason we return every several years or so)... More

My family stayed at the Mission Inn Hotel during the Festival of Lights in December 2015. We all had an incredible time. The resort is located in Downtown Riverside, just off the freeway. Parking is $20 per day for Valet, and $15 per day for Self parking. The staff were all super friendly, and very helpful. There is no resort... More

Room Service was on time and very good. Valet needs a little more co-ordination with front desk. I do not mind leaving my car up front and keys with front desk after hours, but waiting for a valet driver to help me is poor service. Front desk should understand orange tag on car keys and accept them for the busy... More
