I was impressed with the customer service level and beauty of the grounds and lobby/dining area. However, the rooms are falling apart and in desperate need of updating. The floors were still dirty (however I did like the wood floors) and I had to kill 3 bugs in my room within the 14 hours I was there. I won't be...

After a long 11 hour drive, my wife and I were very tired; and we were happy to arrive at the Red Lion Hotel in Redding. The Reception Desk employees were very nice and helpful. Although, we paid an extra amount for our pet, we appreciated that our 14 pound dog was welcomed into the hotel with no problem. The...

Old worn out hotel...top sheet had holes (x2) no soap...pubic hair on outside of stool, mold in the grout, stained carpet.....definitely NOT like any other Red Lion I've stayed at.....thin walls...listened to the baby next door crying most of the night

Convenient. Check in was good. Rooms are comfortable. Strong showers. $7 breakfast substantial. Good staff. Kaylee was our favorite. She really does her job well! Popeyes for dinner. Lots of restaurants nearby to choose from.

Clean, quiet and comfortable. We have stayed here many times and always enjoy staying in the Redding area for family visits. This hotel is usually cheaper than Best Western which is down the street a few blocks.

We will always try to stay at The Red Lion on Hill Top first. Will only go elsewhere if they are full. The reason for the trip was to shop for Christmas and see family. The hotel is located close to our favorite stores.

Second time staying and second time having a poor experience. Staff at front desk conveyed their annoyance when I inquired about government rates. Was not receptive to helping me save some money on my stay. Breakfast was not included which was a disappointment for my family. We will try a different place next time we pass through.

Dear sarahEunhappy, Thank you for your feedback. A negative guest experience is never our goal and surely not twice. We will be looking into how our Front Desk responds to rate requests and appreciate your comments to let us know we have this area of concern. The Roaring Start Breakfast Buffet is a full and complete hot breakfast buffet which...

The room was spacious and clean and the beds comfortable. Our room was in the back near hwy 5 but quiet. We were booked into a room on the 2nd floor and were surprised there are no elevators. The front desk clerk was very nice and changed our room to the 1st floor. If you prefer a ground floor it...

We booked this hotel while on the road and based much of our decision on location, price and convienent well reviewed restaurant. We were really disappointed to find out once we'd checked in that the bar/restaurant was under renovation and we'd need to get back in the car and drive somewhere else for a restaurant with acceptable reviews. They did...

I stayed at the Red Lion while on a business trip in Redding. The hotel is conveniently located near the main roads, and there are a number of highly rated places to eat nearby. The hotel is well kept, but it does have that 70's vibe (in a good way) with lots of large glass picture windows everywhere and vaulted...

Dear Greg B, Thank you for your review. It is our hope the Red Lion Hotel does become the hotel you rave about after your stay. We are currently under a partial renovation, many of the rooms have new wooden floors, and they all have 55” screen TV’s. We will continue to improve our “looks”. Our goal is to share...
