Don't choose either room near the dining room. Spend the extra money for an upstairs room. Food was well done, the views fantastic, the hosts informative and gracious. When we were there, however, there were two other couples. The men hung out in their rooms and the women stayed in the dining room, talking loudly (one was hard of hearing)....

Highly recommend spending the night at East Brother Light House in the San Francisco Bay. A piece of local history, wonderful and knowledgeable lighthouse keeper couple, stunning views, delicious dinner and breakfast and great conversations with interesting other guests. We were thinking where to go in the Bay Area for one night with all the girlfriends. We ended up going...

This is a B&B on a very small island in the NE part of San Francisco Bay near the town of Richmond, CA. It is a former Light Station with s operating lighthouse on top of the 19th century Victorian house. It has the old air-operated fog horn which the proprietors will demonstrate the first morning you are there. Most...

We had a great time here on the island and East Brother Light House built in the 1800's. They have 5 rooms and great hosts serving great meals and the appetizers were also wonderful. They boat you out to the island and you have a 360 degree view. Only drawback is shared bath for two of the rooms and no...

Staying overnight at the East Brother Light Station B&B was a very special treat for us. We had very nice room looking directly at the "other brother", a rock in the bay covered with pelicans and seals. The light house is beautifully restored and still operational. If you are worried that staying overnight on this tiny rock might get boring,...

Did not stay the night, but went for a day trip to the island. Fun, informative tour, and a wonderful afternoon. Got to go to the top of the lighthouse, see the rooms, and have a picnic lunch while enjoying amazing views.

Have lived in the Bay Area most of my life and did not know about this quaint little B&B until recently! Went for the weekend with friends and had a blast. Great food, history on the light houses, amazing sunset- what's not to like?? Don't go if you want to hike- the island is really just a big rock, but...

We stumbled upon this treasure after my husband received a book about historial places in Contra Costa County, CA. Both of us have been in the area for decades and never knew about the East Brother Lighthouse. Rather than stay overnight, we took advantage of the day trip ($25pp, reservations needed) and made a picnic with friends. We spent 4...

I surprised my dad with a night at EBLS for a belated Father's Day gift. And it was definitely worth the wait! It was such a great experience. Bryan and Stephanie, our hosts, were incredibly flexible and let us add a second bed to the room (for still 2 people) at no additional charge. They also picked us up at...
