We loved this B&B. Beautiful view of the preserve. Sunsets were gorgeous. We stayed in Grandview suite. Easy access to hiking and close to Point Reyes Station. Family of deer fed through while we had breakfast. Owners stock the room with simple breakfast so you don't have to worry about a schedule.

This is our third stay at The Black Heron Inn. And as with the past two times, we really enjoyed our two night stay. We stayed in the Ridge View room, the same room that we stayed in previously. It is so quiet here. The views from the deck and from the front window are just fantastic. The room is...

We stayed here four nights, while visiting our daughter working at Point Reyes Park's Environmental Education Center for the summer. The Inn is close to town and the park and was very convenient for us. The view is of course, fantastic and we saw many birds and wild animals. The room was cute, a good size, had everything we needed...

The Black Heron Inn needs some TLC. The grounds near the pond have some trash issues, quite a bit of debris. The inn itself is well weathered, could use some rehab. Our room, Bay View, was nice and well equipped. For what you get, at $185+tax, it is overpriced. Point Reyes Station is remote, area traffic was pretty bad, and...

We stayed in the Bay Room for 3 days and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The bed was comfortable and everything you needed was to hand. The fact that the elements for breakfast were provided on arrival meant that you had total privacy and could come and go as you liked. We particularly appreciated the recommendations on walks in the area...

The pictures on the website do not lie - the view from the Black Heron Inn is fantastic. The location is fabulous as it is very close to Point Reyes National Park and we were able to do some great hikes and then come back and relax in a very private spot with lovely views. Our room was beautiful, the view from the room was breathtaking, and we kept saying WOW. Prior to arrival communication was easy and informative. Self check-in was easy and the suite was stocked with fruit, and breakfast treats. The towels were plush and bed was very comfortable. Very private and the wildlife was prolific. I visited with my sister, but...

The views from each room are gorgeous - you can see the water, rolling hills and beautiful trees, and many birds. The grounds are lovely with a pond dotted with lily pads and lilies, deer meandering by, and a beautiful terraced garden to sit by and enjoy. Mamie and Bill, the owners, are friendly and helpful and can advise you...

The room is comfortable, the shower is fine, and the table under the window big enough for writing or a meal. The great attraction is what is outside the large window and second door - a deck overlooking nothing but scenery. Lots of birds. It is an exposed location on a windy day but looking out at the lagoon valley,...

If you're looking for peace and tranquility in nature, Black Heron Inn is a wonderful solution. When the weather is blustery like it was our first day, from your room you can look out the big window at the almost 180 view of meadow, bay and hills that rest the eyes and mind. in better weather you can sit on...
