We stayed in Betty's Cabin at this Inn. It's very comfortable and has a nice rustic quality. It is equipped with a wood burning stove, has a neat little kitchenette, comfortable bed, and functional bathroom. Everything was clean and tidy. It's in a beautiful wooded setting adjacent to the lodge and other buildings that are part of the ranch/inn. The... More

We've stayed here twice! We stayed here for the first time 3 years ago in October. It's about 4 miles off highway 50. Best to go during the day as there isn't much light. We arrived around midnight and the owner's son met us and showed us our room - had the heater on, a nice touch since it was... More

I took my Mom (75) and Aunt (80) to Placerville to visit the place their parents lived until they passed away. My Aunt had some memory issues and so I wanted to make this stay special for her. We were greeted by a very happy dog with a ball and a very warm host. We loved the pride they took... More

We love this venue! Weddings and family reunions in a historical foothill location are amazing! And the bonus is that there are also cabins for rent on the property. The cost are low and the owners are kind and friendly. I recommend it to everyone I talk to.

This is a wonderful place to get away from it all. The property is amazing. We arrived late and Jim left our key and cookies for us. Our room was lit and warm on the chilly fall night in Nov. we arrived. Each day we stayed we saw deer in the meadow right outside our cabin door. A huge plus... More

While on business in the area, I stayed for several days at The Davies Family Inn. The property is in a beautiful and peaceful setting, the facilities are clean and well groomed and breakfast was nutritious and tasty. Bottom line...Jim and Linda are the most accommodating and delightful hosts. The short drive from Placerville is not only an easy trip,... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this bed and breakfast. Although the ranch is from the mid 1800's, the rooms are very modern, comfortable and clean. The decor is authentic , yet tasteful. The traditional log cabins have been nicely refurbished and maintained. Jim Davies, the owner, is quite loquacious, personable and a great breakfast chef. He also provides an informal... More

My wife & I just spent a wonderful weekend at this secluded compond outside Placerville. Jim Davies, the owner, is a gracious and welcoming host who greets each visitor as one of his family. Located amid a private neighborhood, but with easy access to Hiway 49, Apple Hill, and historic downtown Placerville, you're sure to find plenty to do, ...... More

I had a wonderfully serene experience staying here in a spacious log cabin. The Inn is located on a quiet, winding, country road between Placerville and Camino and features kept-up grounds with unique flourishes such as taxidermy. Wildlife viewing was fun; I saw deer and woodpeckers. The Innkeeper was sweet and entertaining and he cooked a delicious and satisfying breakfast... More
