My partner and I visited this hotel in September 2016; we stayed for only one night during our road trip down Big Sur to LA. This hotel utterly surprised us - in a good way! We did book the hotel room with sea views and the photos had looked nice but prior to arriving I had only expected an average,...

Unless you get one of the ocean-front rooms, the rooms are just so-so. We asked for extra towels which never came and the wi-fi was spotty. The walkway along the cliff top is nice, but the cliff itself is crumbling into the ocean and there are a lot of warning signs. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the steps...

Check in was quick and the receptionist very friendly. Best to ask for upper level rooms and better yet the ocean view. There's a gourmet grocery store nearby and also a Japanese restaurant which is walking distance. The downtown is not that far by car .

We found the staff friendly, rooms updated and clean, location great & right off Hwy.101 and close to Cal Poly which is where we were headed. There is a great little grocery/deli across the street that I could have explored forever, and the ocean is just steps away! The restaurant on the property has a breakfast special when you stay...

We stayed here for two nights and were actually disappointed after reading the good reviews. Rooms are very small. We were on a first floor room facing a parking lot. Took forever to check in. Only one person and he spent more time dealing with the phone calls than people standing in front of him. We booked the room for...

My husband and teenage son and I only spent one night at the Spyglass Inn. I wish we could have stayed longer. We had a ocean view 2nd story room with a balcony. Nice little pool area too. Beautiful views and only a few steps from their awesome restaurant. We walked a path and stairs down to the pebbly beach...

Beautiful place with a great price. I booked the hotel on the day of check in via the hotel's own website with their online booking special for extra 15% off. Friendly staff. The room was quiet. Even we were not able to book the room with the ocean view, the access to see the ocean is very convenient. We had...

My wife have found this little jewel on the coast of CA to be just the spot for a couple of days just to....do nothing by relax on the deck and watch the waves roll. Staff is A++, rooms are nicely appointed and very comfortable. Tip: Bring a couple of bottles of wine and make none, to just a few...

My favorite place to stop on my way down the coast (Spyglass park/beach) just got better. This hotel is very easy to access, right off the 101 and is the perfect halfway spot between the Bay Area and Los Angeles. Our room was freshly remodeled, and nicely done with a deck that looks out over the beach and ocean. Fire...
