This place was awesome. Perfect for an authentic Pioneer experience. It's like a town out of an old western movie. The desert mountains surround it and the tumble weeds blow. So many stars are to be seen

Thank you for the great review and we are so very glad you had a great experience. The stars really are amazing in the high desert.

We booked a night so we could enjoy a show at Pappy and Harriet's and not worry about the drive back down to the valley. Was pleased to discover super clean room and comfortable bed. There was some sort of mix up with booking that put us in a room in the front side of hotel, but it still turned...

First time in the desert. Enjoyed the experience, the town itself was more of a facade, I sort of expected that each unit would have been used for shops or a business. The cabins gave you everything you needed would have preferred wooden floors rather than concrete that were a little dusty. The guys at reception were very helpful and...

We were late arriving and recieved a warm welcome by name byJohn (very impressed)! He had tons of local info, historical stories and ideas for us to check out including Salton Sea. We were here for the Desert Generator party and show at Pappy and Harriets and enjoyed the comfortable bed, the super clean room and the unique experience. There...

The motel is charming in that it's been nicely refurbished and decorated with location-appropriate pieces such as Navajo and Mexican blankets. The bed was comfortable, they offer a small refrigerator, offer free coffee/tea, free Wifi and the office is open all night. The a/c is a wall unit. But there were a couple of things that made it too expensive...

What can you do...you want to go to a concert at Pappy & Harriet's and enjoy yourself so you stay at the motel across the parking lot. That is the only reason I can think of to stay here. The room was cold in both temperature and vibe.

This place is awesome, relaxing, entertaining, and quite different from anywhere else you'll ever stay. Pioneertown was once a movie set for late great western actors, and a sound stage for The Sons of the Pioneers, this movie set was created to be self contained. In other words, when films were being made here, it was too far of a...

Much has been said about the Pioneertown Motel's western film-set look and vibe. And it's true. It's very picturesque and well-styled. But the motel's walls are also pretty thin so you can join neighbor's conversations. And it's so basic that there are virtually no services or amenities to speak of, including any on-site dining (which during the holiday season was...

Stayed here in November for two nights and really enjoyed. Renoveted a few years ago from the original Motel built by Roy Rogers et al. Made very welcome by owners . Not suitable for people who want TV and Ironing boards in their room but for people who want a rustic couple of days with a famous Bar Pappa and...
