This is a great well-maintained older motel. Reminds me of a RTE 66 classic. Rooms are very clean. Management is very helpful and friendly, and the best restaurant (Buona Tavola) in Paso Robles is right next door. Beds are comfortable and prices very reasonable. What more can you ask. It's not The Ahwahnee, of course, but I spent just as...

If you stay anywhere else in Paso Robles, you're wasting your money. This is the place. It's a 60's motel in its original box, right off the showroom floor. It's immaculate and it's located perfectly. What a pleasure.

What more could you ask for? It's not posh, but the Melody Ranch Motel is roomy, clean, comfortable and just a block from City Park (and Paso Robles Inn, at twice the price), and great restaurants! As for whether it's romantic, well, that's up to you - it was for us!!

We stay here every year for the Wine Festival (25+). Melody Ranch is only 2 blocks from the Park. It has just what you want, clean rooms, friendly staff and great value. Over the last several years the rooms have been updated (new beds, carpet, installed new shower). If you are looking for a nice place to stay with the...

We were a bit surprised after reading the reviews. This is not a nice place. The lobby was the first clue as it needs some new carpet and updating. Maybe I am just not getting the point of the 'nostalgic' decor. The room appeared clean. But had a musty dusty smell. The bed had a blanket and a bedspread which...

My husband couldn't wait to be able to stay in this old style one story highway motel with original tile and room layout. Some updating has been done, including very good mattresses. Extremely good value. Very clean. The heater in the wall between room and bathroom is a well-maintained original that is very comfortable and quiet in both rooms. Next...

Perfect location. Very friend staff. Rooms are old, but clean. The bathroom and show is very clean. The room does not have a frig, but the staff will gladly keep some items in their frig for you. I would definitely come back.

Good enuff for a overnight rest stop. Deco may seemed dated but the room was clean. Same for bathroom, the shower closet is great for winter. Whilst checking in, we had the good fortune of smelling their dinner of bbq ribs. Staff were very friendly.

The good: Inexpensive, very friendly staff, clean room & central location -walking distance to downtown shopping, winetasting & dining. Bed was firm, but comfy. The bad: Needs a bit of an upgrade. Carpets & furniture look pretty dated -grey/brown carpet & muted color furniture (I think both meant not to show dirt/stains) only serves to look dirty when clean. The...

Luxury this isn't, but it's a fun way to save a few bucks and flash back to times gone by. As others note, it is very clean and well kept, like a time capsule, BUT it is a budget place, so I suggest you bring your own soap, shampoo, etc. Those things are provided (no hair dryer though), but the...
