Nestled conveniently close to downtown, the Hilton Palm Springs draws praise for its prime location, with easy access to shopping, dining, and the casino. Guests bask in the inviting atmosphere, especially the pool area which is a consistent hit among reviewers. While service is generally commendable, especially the prompt room service and friendly poolside attention, there are occasional remarks about slow dining service.
Room experiences range from clean and spacious with views to concerns over cleanliness and outdatedness. Visitors also appreciate the amenities including the gym and shuttle service, although opinions on value are mixed, with some dissatisfaction over additional charges.

Detailed Reviews
I’m a bad news first sort of person so I’m just going to say the staff is not trained well or unmotivated to give decent customer service.
We asked for rooms next to each other and were told we could check in early and that our rooms were put on a rush list to be cleaned after the previous gusts left at 12:30 but it was a lie.
When the staff finally texted us that one of our two rooms was ready at 3:30, they offered us a choice between a poolside balcony or rooms facing the street so there never really was a team working on a particular set of rooms.
The next morning when we went to have breakfast our waiter in grey shirt ignored us for so long the family seated right before us was finishing their food before we could even order.
At this point we called out the waiter who said he would be right with us but went right back to taking orders from parties seated long after we were.
The host/manager Dean tried to make it right by getting us a new server who did his job well and the next day we got excellent service but that first waiter and the front desk lady should not be interfacing with any of the guests.
Other reviews suggest the staff has been there too long to care and it really is time to replace some of them with folks happy to have the work.
The room was clean, the beds were good and the room was quiet when the family across the hall got back from the pool and their dog finally stopped barking.
The location is good but I was thankful I had no plans to use the pool because all the seats were reserved using towels by 8:00 am so this is not a place to stay unless you don’t mind waiting a ridiculous amount of time for everything.
The best part of our stay was the tasty burgers at the Hey Day.
The burgers run a bit small so order a double.
Their service and food is excellent.

Stayed a long weekend here with my wife and overall we really enjoyed it but I just felt for a Hilton, it lacked attention to details. As a Hilton Diamond member, we were upgraded to a pool view room which was very well appointed and had a lot of room. I loved the seperate area that my wife could do her hair and I could brush my teeth in the other area. Shower was really nice and modern except for the shower head. The bed and pillows were wonderful! Did not like that the electric plugs did not work at the desk and there were only plugs on one side of the king size bed. All rooms had balcanies, but they needed to be powerwashed and repainted. The grounds around the pool just needed some tidying as well as garbage picked up. The pool lounger tables all needed to be wiped down, especially during COVID. The location is excellent if you want to go downtown to shop, eat or barhop. Very convenient to the casino being right across the street but we did not go. This property also allows dogs so if you are not a dog fan, this could be an issue. We heard quite a few dogs barking in rooms during the evening. I was surprised that no where on this property did they have a water bill fill station, not even in the fitness center. Overall, we liked it here and will probably return if we are planning another trip in the area.
Hilton Diamond Members get a $12 credit for breafast per person (max 2 per room). Their breakfast menu was pretty good. Parking a car will be charged $18 per day. I recommend parking on the east side of the property in the street. Plenty of parking there for free.

Very pleasant, quiet stay from Tues to Saturday during covid. As diamond members we were upgraded to room 376 with a view of San Jacinto and the pool and offered free breakfast from an ala cart menu (coffee is an extra 5$ per person). I would definitely prioritize the view of San Jacinto if you need to pick between a pool and mountain view. The walk to downtown is a pleasant 10 minute stroll; you can also drive to downtown and park. We opted to park on the street for free rather than pay the 18$ per day parking, and there were plenty of open spaces. The pool was very nice with plenty of greenery and a pleasing design that doesnt seem too boxy like the renaissance hotel nearby. Only one hot tub was open, so we sometimes had to wait our turn. The pool bar is open from 11am to 7pm, and the pool itself is open from 7am to 10pm. Despite some reviews, there was no issue with pool noise on our pool facing room. I'd estimate the hotel was only 1/3 full during our stay, until Friday when more weekenders checked in, and there was usually only one or two other groups at the pool, so social distancing was not a problem. Overall, the hotel is further from downtown than the Kimpton or Hyatt but for a calmer vibe and more spacious pool area than the Kimpton, I would prefer the Hilton. The renaissance is further from downtown with a less attractive pool area, so the Hilton is much better. I personally prefer the smaller boutique hotels like the andalusian court, but if I stay at a big hotel again, Hilton palm springs is my first choice.

Needed a break from life so booked a weekend getaway 10/16-10/18/20 at this hotel.
Stayed at this hotel a few times, and rooms got recently remodeled (the bathroom came into the 21st century).
During this pandemic it was very crowded, on Saturday the pool was packed and you couldn’t get a towel, one had to wait for it.
Being a Hilton Diamond member, comes the usual perks because of the amount of nights you have to stay that Hilton location to achieve the status.
When I checked in the person checking in told me I get complementary breakfast. Show to breakfast the person says, you and your guest get $14 each towards a meal or $12 credit to use at the hotel. The front desk had given me a different information. So I called them and Joey answered. So unprofessional, he said whatever I tell you will not make you happy and I’m an unhappy person (basically implied I should shoot my self) and hanged up the phone on me.
Called to speak to a manager, no call from anyone. I was told they will talk to him and the generic I’m sorry. No leadership skills at all, the information given to actually what they offer is different.
Went in the evening that night to speak to a manager and no one called me. Also the staff doesn’t always properly wear the face mask. David working the front desk had the mask covering his mouth, not his noise. No wipes or anything never the high touch area like the elevator.
The worst guest service experience. Highly recommend people not stay at this Hilton property, stay at either the Kipton Rowen or the renaissance. Completely different experience from guest service to the stay.

This is a modern, sleek, and clean hotel in Palm Springs. The service from the front desk to the bell desk to the restaurant was excellent. Despite being fully booked, the front desk managed to get us checked in two hours earlier and even upgraded our room. Our room was also spacious and moreover, very clean. Hilton advertises their Lysol disinfectant service prominently and it definitely gives you a peace of mind knowing that the high touch surfaces have all been disinfected (one of the silver linings of the pandemic). The room has most of the amenities you would expect from a 4 star hotel, though they no longer offer room service everyday and you will have to request one if you want one. Beds and pillows were very comfortable and we had a great sleep every night. Wifi was also super fast.
If you are staying at a Hilton, definitely download their app and use the digital key. It's so convenient not having to carry extra key cards since you can just open every door with your phone. It was super intuitive, and I wish more hotels had it. Parking was $18 and there were plenty of spots available around the hotel.

Disappointed! I wish we ended up at the Hyatt (which provided amazing service even when we cancelled). Great location and rooms are decent, but booking 3 rooms for my husband's 50th (with Europeans visiting), they did NOT fulfill the promise of making him feel extra welcome.
In fact ,they promised our 3rd room to us by 4pm, but by chance we checked in regarding the 3rd room about 4:30 to find out they guest decided to stay an extra night. Uhhh, were they going to inform us that we didn't have a 3rd room next to the other two?
Manager was totally unapologetic, but the front desk person felt sympathy and offered us a room around the corner or an upgraded room away from the rest of the family. You'd think they'd alert of this (we had the opportunity to get the room on the other side with a king vs 2 queens, but it was too late when WE checked in about our 3rd room). I'd also expect a hey- let me upgrade your rooms, or hey- let me throw in some drink tickets, but nope. NADA. Disappointed!
In addition, one of the streets was blocked off due to construction (not their fault), but would have been nice to know for guests arriving so we could get there a bit easier.
They also charged my card for the first night instantly. They said not all hiltons do this (but this one does)
Pool also had WAY TOO MUCH CHLORINE!!. Kids came out (and they are on a swim team) complaining how their eyes were really red and hurting after a short swim.

My son and I stayed there earlier in the week. Our room was in very nice and clean. When we checked in, we were not acknowledged as Diamond members and I later had to check into my benefits on the second day. I did find out we got free breakfast which I did use only on the second morning. The restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great. We walked to restaurants in the downtown area and it was very easy to drive places. We took a day trip to Joshua tree Park which is a must see if you are in the area and don't want to sit by the pool all day. We had planned on using the pool a little, but it was packed in the afternoon so we chose to avoid it. We did walk though the area in the morning and it looked really nice and much less busy. We had a room on the east side and it was nice and quiet at night - I did not hear any noise from the hallway or parking lot during the night.

The location of this hotel is the really the only positive aspect one can evaluate.
At check in, which was only around 3:40pm, I had to wait 17 minutes in line and there were only 2 people ahead of me. At the same time, there were at least 8 people behind me also waiting to check in. Very slow. The day before arrival, I chose a specific room online. Then, while actually checking in, I was told I did not get that room and was given a different room. I asked the gentleman behind the counter, "If I chose a specific room, then that room must be blocked for me, otherwise there's no sense in choosing one". He said it doesn't always work that way. As an Honors Diamond member, I have stayed in Hilton's all over the world and this is the only one I've ever had a problem with.
Evidently, without notice, Hilton has changed the policy for offering Diamond members a choice of a free breakfast. Now, you don't get the choice, but rather a $12 "credit" towards breakfast. This, in and of itself is a joke because the breakfast costs more than $12 at just about any property. So rather than having a choice before, now you don't have a choice. Very poor loyalty concept.

From check in to check out, we enjoyed everything about this hotel. We were lucky to have a ground floor room with a patio that led directly to the pool area, which is great because I use a mobility scooter. There were two large hot tubs and a beautiful pool. We spent some morning time soaking in the sun in the pool area and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating! The lady rushed over with towels to lay over the chaise lounge for me, the wait staff came by to offer drinks from the bar (smoothies were fantastic). The hotel restaurant was not our cup of tea, not a big variety to choose from, definitely would not go back. We did take advantage of ordering breakfast in our room on Sunday morning and we sat out on our patio enjoying a generous amount of food and beverages in the warm morning air... in FEBRUARY! We were there for a cheer competition, but midway through our stay, we all said we'd like to come back for a long weekend get away. Peaceful and relaxing.
