We stayed 4 nights at the Monkey Tree Hotel, and it was truly a wonderful experience. All the rooms have more or less straight access to the pool area, which is lovely. The saltwater pool is heated (nice), but there's also a jacuzzi, a cold plunge and a sauna (amazing). Coffee is served from 7 am (nice) followed by breakfast...

Mid Century Modern hotel, completely renovated, but with retaining the 60's charm. Newly installed European spa, hot, cold and sauna plus a heated pool. Kathy and Gary are wonderful, attentive hosts. Great get-away for couples, off the main drag.

The views are fantastic as are the multiple pools and sauna. You can park your car, walk 40 feet and be in your very comfortable room. No elevators and long corridors to contend with and a unmatched welcome from the owners as you checkin. Breakfast is on the light side but with the best scones we have ever eaten. Sitting...

From the snow capped mountains to the picture-perfect blue skies, this was a perfect place to stay in the heart of Palm Springs! I have nothing but amazing things to say about the Monkey Tree! The room: absolutely fantastic, the staff: very friendly and inviting, the grounds: pristine and clean. The staff was very helpful and knew tons of things...

We spent three nights at The Monkey Tree Hotel in Palm Springs with another couple, and will definitely be back. The Monkey Tree Hotel has won awards for its renovation efforts, holding true to its original mid-century Modernism motif. So we dug being immersed in the Modernism vibe, with breath-taking mountain views poolside to boot. Each morning we enjoyed a...

I picked The Monkey Tree Hotel for five reasons: 1) its modern design is a blast from the past, 2) it’s not on the main drag of Palm Canyon Drive, 3) it’s small with only 16 rooms, 4) it’s a small business owned by Gary and Kathleen Friedle, and 5) they provide breakfast. With slanting roofs and expansive picture windows...

They are really just awesome good humans + the place is so well-run because of that. The rooms are quiet, with high-quality linens and plush, comfortable beds, great vibes and super fun...

Where do I start?? Thank you Kathy, thank you Alex and thank you Gary, for making our first trip to Palm Springs a memorable one. From the moment we walked through the front door, my wife and I felt like we were staying at a friend's house. This trio was soooooo helpful in helping with restaurant selections, day trips and...

The Monkey Tree Hotel was the perfect place to spend a relaxing long weekend with friends, while celebrating my best friend's 30th birthday. The service was amazing and the breakfast and sangria were delicious! The views of the mountains from inside the hotel were breathtaking and the salt water pools and spa were very soothing. I can't wait to visit...

My wife and I stayed for four nights. Came to Palm Springs to undwind and unplug for a few days. Gary and Kathy are very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was mostly homemade and delicious. We stayed in the Jungle Room. Cool mid-century modern style, super comfy bed, and big windows that let in a ton of natural light....
