Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My family and I attended a destination wedding at the Riviera in Palm Springs. Rather than stay at the hotel, we opted for the charming Acacia Lodge instead. So peaceful, private, comfortable, charming, and yet just a two minute walk to the all of the wedding activities (three days worth!) at the hotel. We loved being able to return to our restful little oasis in the desert. We all wished that our stay could be longer.

The icing on the cake was above and beyond service from the owner. On arriving home, I realized that I had inadvertently left a pair of borrowed earrings on a shelf in the bathroom. I left a frantic message to the property owner and received a call back within MINUTES. Cleaning staff was alerted and the next day I received word that the earrings had been located and would be sent along to my sister; what a relief! Not only did the owner go out of his way to rectify MY mistake, but he would not accept any compensation for time, trouble, and postage.

3 birthdays in one week. What to do. Five years ago we rented a small motor lodge that had been turned into a private retreat. 12 people fit comfortably in rooms surrounding the pool. There are 3 suites with kitchenette and large private bath, a main house with two bedrooms, a big kitchen, and living room. But most of the living was done in and around the pool. This was an affordable paradise with the ability to bring the entire family together. It is very secure, spotlessly clean, and kept up to date. BBQ, board games, wifi, TV's everywhere. We just showed up with our own food, drinks and toiletries for a great 3 day Labor Day weekend.
