I heard it's being converted to a drug and alcohol treatment center. Closed mid-2016. That's a shame, as it was one of the most welcoming gay men's resorts in the area. Maybe it was because if the location -- most of the other gay businesses are on the other side of Palm Springs.

My first visit to the resort is for a weekend event. Every square inch is enjoyed by the guests. The resort is well maintained and clean, with a huge illuminated pool that brighten the courtyard in the evening. Thanks for the owner for providing the arena for the event.

This is the best place for a day pass in the Palm Springs area among the gay resorts and has an extensive playroom as well as opportunity to lay by the pool or use the hot tub the day passes are only $10 and on special days $5 which can't be beat

If you are gay and are looking for a place to stay, this is a very good place to stay. The rooms were nice. The staff was nice and cordial. It's within walking distance to Toucans. Also you can take The Buzz to Arenas every 15 minutes. No complaints!

I booked a weekend getaway for myself to ring in the new year and celebrate my birthday and this was the only gay resort in Palm Springs that had rooms available without any ridiculous minimum night stay. The resort is an easy and quick walk to the northern side of Palm Canyon Drive (the main strip of downtown Palm Springs),... More

After the rude reception we received from the owner of the property, and the copious apologies from the front desk clerk, our stay was off to a rocky start. Property is well maintained, but the room we stayed in was in disrepair, the mattress was ancient and the linens were bargain basement thrift store quality. I won't go back or... More

New ownership has changed it. My friend stayed there for the last time. He had a visitor during the day who paid for a day pass. At 445 someone knocked on his door to tell him his guest had to be out by 5 or there would be an additional charge for another person in the room. Wasnt that clean... More

A beautiful place in the middle of Palm Springs. Rooms are clean and good size. The grounds are tropical and lush. The pool and hot tub was clean and inviting. Love all the outdoor furniture where you have your pick from chairs to chaise lounges to hammock to bed futon. Great value clothing optional low key and relaxed or can... More

Ed, Mike Carson and every other person I've encountered while staying at Helios reminds me why I keep the Resort at the top of my places to stay when visiting Palm Springs. Every attempt to ensure your needs are satisfied is apparent with the personal touch that Helios' owner, manager and houseboys demonstrate every day. The amenities are abundant, a... More
