This place is a vintage gem in the desert. Themed rooms, heated pool, happy hour and an amazing breakfast were all highlights of our stay here. The property is very quiet and secluded, and the rooms are very vintage with most having large whirlpool tubs in them. Everyone was very friendly and I was actually genuinely sad to have missed the offered happy hour. Everything was very clean, the bed was comfortable and I have no complaints at all. Breakfast was served in courses and was definitely the crown jewel here. First is the smoothie, fresh and amazing. Next is the martini glass of fresh fruit. And then comes the main plate, ours had waffles, fresh fruit and sausage. Everything was presented beautifully and it felt like you were at a fancy restaurant. It is very easy to see that this place is a labor of love for the owners and honestly their personalities and personal touches are what makes this place truly special. I will absolutely be seeking this place out every time we visit Palm Springs, and I heartily recommend it to anyone else as well. I cannot speak highly enough of this cute little hideaway.

I must have read over 100 reviews on the various hotels in Palm Springs ranging from $70-$330 a night. I kept coming back to this hotel. We stayed in the Stagecoach room and it was very roomy and the bed was super comfortable. Loved the Mountain View. I loved opening the shades and resting on the bed looking at the sky, pool, and mountains between our excursions. I went on their website and got a much better deal than what I found on the internet which made this a no brainer. In this room there was a hair dryer, lighted beauty mirror, jar of chocolates, free water, little fridge and freezer with ice, microwave, coffee maker, tv. We could also pick what level of room replenishment/service we wanted by posting cards outside each day. They also offered additional special services for bottle of wine, flowers, etc and massages which we didn’t do.

We stayed Thursday through Sunday. Every breakfast was perfect size and tasty. I liked having easy access to the hot tub and pool. The layout around the pool is neat with the various ways to gather or just relax. ie. lounge chairs, high tables, regular tables, and chairs around a fire pit. We were given pool towels and they had all sorts of pool play stuff in the pool closet.

We walked to the downtown area multiple times with no problems. There is a free bus you can take and upon checkin they will give you a map and show you where to catch it. I liked that they played old music too. Was fun, relaxing, and soothing. The common area had cookies, water, hot pot for tea and cocoa, snacks, popcorn maker with popcorn, movies, games, fireplace, and menus from all the restaurants.

If you want a nice pleasant place to lay your head with great service, uniqueness, and overall great experience, this is the place to go. I couldn’t help but notice some of the negative comments towards the place and it reflects more on the reviewer in my opinion that a) they have no idea what a 50’s place was like (it is NOT the Hilton! But it was clean and quaint) and b) they have no clue what a bed and breakfast is. I appreciated not being nickeled and dimed to death and having some niceties for free. Plus you get heart felt service you don’t find just any place. No gouging "resort fee" either. I will be back!

This place is a gem. It is warm and comfortable. The pool and hot tub are great. The breakfasts are delicious. The location is ideal for walking to town and for driving to surrounding areas to explore. We've stayed here 3 times and I don't want to go anywhere else. Staff has changed but they are always friendly and committed to giving you the best experience. You should know that it is a small hotel and an older property, that sometimes shows its age. It is clean and has personality. I am sensitive to light when I sleep and I wish there was a way to make the room darker (this is always an issue for me at hotels).

First of all website is grossly misleading. It states there's breakfast and happy hour included but only after having paid the confirmation it reveals no breakfast or happy hour. All communications happen via text and we realized after a while you are really talking to a computer. Checkin is done via text and even codes to enter the property and the room are sent same way. We discovered that this is because there is absolutely no one on the property. It looks like a fully remote management. As soon as we arrived we realized the very poor condition of the hotel and of our room (Pretty in Pink #7). We knew hotel is old (say historic...) but this is no excuse for dirty, worn and broken conditions. The website describes rooms as fully equipped with a microwave but this is false. After having queried via text we were answered the microwave is in the office room which is totally unattended btw. We started at this point to realize we were talking probably to a bot. You can see for yourself the state of the property on our photos, dirty bathrugs, towels with holes, worn out curtains with black mold, dirt dirt and dirt everywhere. The back alley of the hotel is completely abandoned. The pool area is even worse. There is blue carpet around it covered in white gravel. Never seen anything such disgusting. The pool was very small and the filtering system switched off so the water was not really that clear and the tiles were also dirty. The area is not cleaned or maintained. Plants are dying or dead. Lounge chair cushions were soaked with water and stained. Bar area was abandoned. Because of this we decided we didn't want to spend the rest of the weekend in such bad place so we checked out the morning after. This is when things started to get even more interesting ! we sent a text to announce our checkout one day early including all the pictures we took and after a while we received a pre-recorded answer asking if everything was ok as if nothing happened. The next day we received another text on the same line hoping we enjoyed our stay etc etc...Clearly no one acknowledged our early checkout and no one really read our messages. Once returned home we even received a further message thanking us for the stay, hoping we had enjoyed it and offering a return discount, what a joke ! We spent $414 for two nights, we stayed only one. We were obliged to find another hotel for the second night. Clearly something happened in the past month, probably a change of ownership because it really looks like an abandoned property.

I had reserved a room and paid $448 prior to the pandemic. When the pandemic hit and everything shut down, I needed to cancel, as my reason for going to PS had evaporated. The Rendevous issued me a gift certificate for $448. I was able to use it to make a reservation in December 2022 for January 2023. The day before my arrival they cancelled my reservation due to construction, then reinstated it 2 hours later but would no longer honor the $448 gift certificate. The excuse was "new owners." In the State of CA gift certificates are not supposed to expire. I now have to take the new owners to small claims court.

We had a great time on our short 4 day vacation in the desert in February. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed all that Palm Springs has to offer during the Modernism week. Our stay at the Rendezvous was wonderful and relaxing. The host are very nice and welcoming. We stayed in the Hawaiian room which suited us just fine and like all the other rooms, you are near the pool, hot tub, and sunny lounge chairs. Breakfast every morning was a special treat with fresh fruit, fruit smoothies, coffee, juice, and a main course which varied from each day but all were excellent. We also took in a couples massage and were very please with the therapists and the session. Made the stay all that much more enjoyable. The facility is in good shape but does need some updating to a few minor items which when done would make this location one of the best values in PS. Kevin was a great host and chef and we most certainly will look to stay here on our next visit.

We love this place! We stopped in Palm Springs midpoint on a trip to Tucson (business and pleasure) and they were very nice to bend the booking rules a bit for us and let us stay a single night on our return. I wanted to stay in a MCM themed motel and this one looked like the most fun without breaking the piggie bank. Carlos and John are the perfect, fun hosts! The delicious personally cooked breakfasts were a pleasant surprise to me (next time I'll read the description!). The first two nights we stayed in the Rebel Without a Cause room, which was a James Dean-themed room with red walls--I'm guessing a tribute to his red jacket in the movie. I'm a big James Dean fan and was impressed with the historic framed tableaus about Jimmy on the walls. A few days later on our way back, we got the Crooner's room which was a very tasteful Rat Pack themed suite complete with a Spa Tub, which was greatly appreciated after a 6 hour drive from Tucson! We love Palm Springs MCM architecture, found some great affordable restaurants and there is so much more to see, so we will definitely be back! Thanks again guys!

This unique little B&B in Palm Springs was a pleasant surprise to me. Despite the good reviews, I was skeptical because of the age of the property and the description of the rooms. As it turned out it was a great place to stay and what made it even better was the “innkeeper” Carlos who served us a wonderful breakfast both days we were there. He was friendly, attentive and thoughtful and made our anniversary weekend an amazing experience we will remember for years to come!
All the rooms are uniquely decorated in 50s themes...we stayed in Route 66 which was car themed and had a whirlpool tub for two and a cute little patio. Super comfy sheets but the bed wasn’t terribly comfortable (good thing we didn’t do a lot of sleeping 😉).
The reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was it was a little pricey for such an old property and does not have a lot of amenities. However if what you are looking for is personality and charm and not your typical hotel - this place is a must visit! Oh and you can invite your friends and rent out the whole place which we are now thinking of doing!

My husband and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary there. Our first time alone since the pandemic started. It was clean, I could smell the bleach on the sheets which was comforting during a pandemic lol. We enjoyed the jacuzzi at night. The breakfasts were delicious. The staff were just the amount of welcoming and allowing you your space. We chatted with other coupes during breakfast. It a great getaway.

The property was very quaint with a very good vibe from the moment we stepped inside. We were greeted by both hosts and had arrived during the evening social where we were offered beer or wine. A tour followed along with some history of our room (Pretty In Pink) that made for a really great first impression. We were excited for our stay. Hosts were super accommodating and in the morning they made breakfast for all their guests. The little touches were really something to take notice of. We intend to stay here again and will happily recommend to friends.

No. However, if you book out the hotel as a group and take all rooms then you can choose to have topless sunbathing around the pool with your group event.
