My husband and I decided to take a trip from Vegas to Palm Springs for my birthday. We picked this motel because it was on the cheaper side, took both out two dogs (free of charge), and it was close to downtown. Don’t expect a whole lot from this place. When we got into our hotel room, it had dirt all over the floor and looked as though it had been cleaned about 50% from the last visit. We brushed it off because we had dogs and knew it was going to get dirty anyway. The beds are like $20 mattresses. The room has two bars of soap, nothing else. The Motel 6’s have been updated, but this just got new furniture. The bathtub was gross and the toilet didn’t have a topper. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked nice. There is a Starbucks and restaurants close so that makes it nice. The walls are very thin and if some slams a door, it’s super loud. Plenty of parking. Like I said, just don’t get your hopes up. The room is very very small. We had the two full bed room.

This motel is in a great location, less than 1/2 a mile from a large variety of the best downtown restaurants. Easy parking on site. Free wifi. Room has all the basics: bed, bathroom, ice machine close to rooms, etc but it is missing a refrigerator, microwave, safe, shampoo (they do offer soap), coffee and tea only in the morning. I am not complaining about the things they don’t have, just want to warn others what they do and don’t have. There is a pool and spa.

I booked online with expedia asking the hotel for my request to be poolside , ground floor etc and when I checked in all was exactly as requested and very satisfactory. The maid service was excellent and the room was clean with lots of hot water. The desk clercs were very helpful and courteous for any questions or requests that I had. The pool and hot tub were cleaned and serviced every morning and were a pleasure to use. complimentary coffee in the morning was the very best and beat all the local restaurants by far . Truly the best value for the dollar by a mile. I will definitely return.

This place is a hole. Tried to check in but had to wait 2 1/2 hours because room wasn’t ready. Check is at 3 p.m. only if you have a room on second or third floor. I had booked on line for a queen with fridge, requested ground floor room. When I complained I had to wait they said It was because I requested a ground floor room which they couldn’t guarantee but they never contacted me to let me know. So what do they do, they “upgrade” to two queen beds even though I was one “guest”. So what am I supposed to do with the other bed. They upgraded me to a coffee maker which really isn’t a coffee maker. When I asked for late check out they said I could get another hour. I said you owe me 2 1/2 based on me getting my room late. They can’t guarantee you check in at 3 but want you out at 11. The two bars of soap they give you disintegrate when you open the wrapper. The short thin long haired girl that works days is rude and has no patience for a guests concern. The manager Michael is a wimp and has no back bone. All they could do was offer insincere apologies. When I emailed guest relations at Motel 6 they referred me right back to these clowns. I’ve stay at other Motel 6’s before but would never go back to this one. The building is dated, staff have no care about customer service, and it was probably a different motel before this one became a motel 6. My buddy stayed in a different room, they gave him handicapped and the shower flooded into the main room. Whomever owns this as a franchisee is a jerk.

Never write on these things but I was so pleased with stay.
Bedroom cleaned thoroughly, bed comfortable, staff (spesh girls on front desk) great, fab location, really quiet room, shower pressure great. We stayed here and then bought passes for the more ‘fabulous hotels’ to use their pools/spas - which actually weren’t in as good a location as motel 6!
I was told by my friend motel 6 isn’t usually as good as the one in Palm Springs downtown - I honestly thought it was just fantastic for price. Highly recommend!

Soooooo I booked this hotel for an overnight stay while passing by Palm Springs on a road trip. I didn't think I really needed a fancy accommodation since I was just going to be there for only one night so I didn't hesitate in booking a room here at a reasonable cost.
My traveler skills got a little rusted due to Covid limited traveling and it showed up here.
The First red flag appeared as we were approaching to the area, more and more homeless and crackheads were more common in the streets. When I got to the hotel the exterior was in reasonable shape, the front desk is a little bit hidden though, once you get in the door the first thing to greet you is the night service window, followed by the day front desk in a separate room.
Check in was efficient and the staff was OK, they provided necessary information, my room wasn't clean yet so they offered me another room, then the second red flag showed up, the front desk agent had her eyes on the security cameras monitor the entire check in process, which got me nervous and made me wondering if something was going on within the hotel premises.
When I was heading to my room with my bags, I just couldn't ignore questionable people in my surroundings, I'd say 50% were normal people using the pool but the other 50% very sketchy people, some of them wondering on the parking lot, others maybe guests.
The room was very basic, everything you need to have to stay over night, the first thing I read as I was opening the door was the "No smoking room" sign and then: Surprise! the room had this aged cigarette smell we all know, it looked clean until I open the toilet and there were some small solid particles of human waste in the water. It looks like the cleaning staff didn't care if the toilet was completely clean before they left the room, I doubt that they actually used any cleaning agents to clean the toilet, probably they only flushed the toilet. I didn't dare to inspect the bedding nor put any of my belongings on the sink, at that point the cleanness of the room was questionable. I lasted 5 minutes in the room when I decided to leave the room and book another hotel.
So here's my notes to self and for you before booking a room here or any other hotel:
1) Check the hotel area: do your research, internet has so many resources to know the good and bad areas of any city.
2) Cheap and good not always go in the same sentence: this was the cheapest hotel during that night, now I know the reason.
3) Read other people reviews: I read the reviews of this hotel after the fact, all of them are true.
Maybe this hotel is for people that has a very little or no budget and has no choice but definitely is not for everyone. I wouldn't dare to walk in the night in that area.

After checking out, I was told I could not wait for my ride anywhere on property, as I was no longer a guest. I was flabbergasted. I had tolerated the lack of service in the rooms attributed to covid, the empty ice machines, the filthy floors, the closed pool, and a person apparently living in their car in the parking lot only to be treated as some kind of trespasser. Towels were only available late in the evening after they were laundered because they have so few. It felt more like a minimum security prison than a resort town hotel. Thanks for nothing to the assistant gm (I believe his name is Aaron). The only positive thing I can say about this place is that the young ladies at the front desk tried to be as helpful and professional as possible in spite of it all. I hope they all find better positions elsewhere soon.

Checked in to room 129. Inspected the water flow. Slow water pouring out of the bath tub spout. No water was poring out of the shower head. I requested to be moved to another room with a refrigerator and a microwave. I moved to room 117. I reported to the front counter staff that room 117 microwave was missing the revolving glass dish in it. Response from staff, was “we will look for one”. I reminded front counter staff, on Oct 16, 17th and 18th, that room 117 microwave revolving glass dish in the microwave was not replaced.

Elevator to the 2nd and third floors was ‘Out of Order’ throughout my stay. This property has no visible security presence. Vagrants trespass the property day and night. The vending, Ice machine and laundry room that had a room key access was broken allowing all access. Trespassers were seen doing laundry and getting ice. (to the point of depleting the ice tank) .

This property is poorly managed, as customers’s paid for expected basic service is not met. Staff is poorly trained, as they do not communicate with guests how and by when room deficiencies will be corrected.

Know what you are paying for and may not be getting before you make a reservation @ Motel 6, Downtown Palm Springs.

Totally taken advantage of. Due to severe wind, all flights were cancelled so had to book a room for the night. Because it’s Valentine’s Day weekend I knew it would be more money and limited availability in the city but this dump was over $300! Robbery! Dirty. Hair on the pillow, hair in the sink and on the floor. I have a shaved head so definitely wasn’t mine. With Covid going on I was so uncomfortable I slept will all my clothes on including my hoodie. They sprayed a ton of deodorizer in the room but that ain’t foolin anyone. This is a $50 hotel so shame on them for what they do. I’ll pay $300 for a nice hotel and immaculate room but this was gross.
