The arrival is warm and welcoming and high quality customer service continues into the bar. The rooms are funky, with some original touches from back in the day, and the tiki feel sustained.
The pool is fabulous. Surrounded by the mountains, it is relaxing and with enough space to not feel crowded.
Top marks too, for being the only motel we stayed at that didn’t have plastic cups, instead real mugs and glasses were in the room.
Loved this Motel and will be back.
The only issue we had was really noisy people in the room next to us! We had a connecting door to their room so when they came back at 1am and had a argument we were woken up and the kids got quite scared. I tried to placed towels in front on the door to lessen the noise, but I think they just need thicker doors.
The rest of our stay was great!! The pool and hot tub were the highlight for us and the kids did about 6 hours a day in them!! I was able to enjoy the great cocktails and we loved the Tiki vibe throughout!
We would 100% stay here again and loved the location and the on site restaurants!
Check in with Cirenia was easy and she was super helpfull!
The tiki touches everywhere were super adorable and I loved the Christmas and Hawaiian music that was piped in to the pool area. Also super loved the very hot Jacuzzi. Nothing was ever crowded and everything was super well-kept and clean.
The room is super Duper clean and also had little tiki touches that made it extra special.
The only tiny tiny complaint I have is that the stairwells were extremely dark at night, but that being my only complaint means the place was great.
Sadly because of Covid the tiki bar was closed during our stay, but it looks great.
The room was comfortable but worn. There were chipped areas and our fridge didn’t really work. As others have highlighted, there is no microwave. There is hot water though. Spatially, there is room for improvement including expanding the toilet and shower room and including a second sink.
I recommend staying on the second floor so you have nobody above you. We heard our upstairs neighbor often which I found interesting considering the floor is cement.
The pool is nice and kept clean, but wished they warmed it. The jacuzzi is closed until further notice. There’s plenty of space to social distance and the mountains make for a picturesque background.
Downtown is about a 7-minute drive, but there are a few restaurants in walking distance including Mirasol, Elmer’s and Koffi.
The staff we encountered were friendly. Rudy checked me in and he was very pleasant.
We definitely received our money’s worth, but I’m not in a rush to return.
We loved the grassy area and pool.
The room was cleaned every day and for the price in the area it was brilliant. Would highly recommend.
We had friends who were staying at the Ace hotel next door and were very disappointed as they were paying triple what we paid with a very similar room etc.
"This is more of a relaxing, vintage, older hotel. If you’re picky over every little detail, maybe not for you. "Read full review
