We recently stayed for 4 nights and were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and well supplied. The bathroom had pool towels as well as ample bath towels, as well as soap, body wash and shampoo. The kitchenette was stocked with paper towels, dish towels, plates, cups, wine glasses, bowls, basic cooking utensils, pots, pans, a toaster, a small fridge/freezer,... More

We initially were enjoying our stay until it all went down hill. We had made reservations for a total of 4 nights. We had one room for 3 nights and another room for one night. (There wasn't availability for 4 consecutive nights) The hotel has a retro vibe. Feels like your staying at the Brady bunch house. Total Palm Springs... More

We are mid century modern architecture buffs and picked this hotel for its reviews, looks and location. The fifties ambience is just perfect, add the mountain views, the very pleasant fellow guests, and the location (a short walk from Main Street) makes it hard to beat. The rooms have been sensitively updated and are in good condition - shower was... More

My husband and I enjoyed a pleasant and relaxing holiday at the Desert Hills. The rooms are clean and spacious. We stayed in room six which featured a quaint kitchen and was stocked with the appropriate necessities. The Inn is very well kept and clean, offering a pool and lovely spa as well as a well stocked communal pantry for... More

after a fabulous wedding at Colony 29, I stayed at Desert Hills for a couple of nights to enjoy the peace and quiet of the desert. These people are fabulous. I couldn't have found a nicer hotel to stay. In fact, all the guests were so nice, too. Downtown was within a couple of blocks. The tennis club was next... More

Enjoyed how close this boutique hotel is to downtown Palm Springs - just 3 walkable blocks. Very quiet Tennis Club neighborhood in which it is located. Great mountain views from rooms on the south and north sides. Great staff, too!

This is one of the best places to stay on Palm Springs- small, quiet, clean, (no children/ no pets) and convenient location. Desert Hills is located about 4 blocks west of Palm Canyon on Arenas Rd. and an easy walk to the Tennis Club or Spencer's as well as the heart of downtown PS. Hotel offers gorgeous "foot of the... This hotel is wonderful. We stayed 15 years ago and it's taken a while to return but wasn't it worth it!!! Firstly arrived late in the evening and have to say thanks to Abby and Johanna (the 2nd management) in room 2 for helping us to get checked in. What can I say about this beautiful place, it's quiet, relaxed... More

As promised after our Christmas 2014 visit (see long review February 7, 2015) as soon as we parked the car and walked through the gate with our luggage it just felt like we had come home, particularly since we had the same room (#6). We were late arrivals and as promised our room was unlocked with the lights on and... More

“This is a one story hotel, I looked at one of the studio rooms and it too was very nice though not as contemporary as the two bedroom unit. It appeared to be weell outfitted and very comfortable.”
  • Mid-century style with a modern twist.

“We were in Room 6 which some have dismissed as being too close to the guest pantry. This was never a problem for us and there was no noise at all that bothered us. Room 6 is an irregular shape and therefore larger than others in the same category.”
