Thoroughly enjoyed my 6-night stay at the Travelodge in Palms Springs, CA. Inexpensive, clean, friendly front desk! Being without a car was no problem as the buses run every 20 minutes (Only 50 cents a ride, plus 25 cents for transfer). The Buzz, a free bus, runs Thursday-Sunday. I hope to return! :)

First, please let me say that the front office staff are super nice and friendly. This compliant is about how unsafe and dirty the property and rooms are. The cleaning staff works with what they have.
Sheets and towels are old but clean. The walls and rugs need care. We booked a pet friendly room and the rug was super gross. They need to pull out the rug and replace with tile. Our room had what appeared to be blood splat on the walls near the restroom and in the shower. The bed skirt was totally filthy and need to be changed. Yes, we bombed the room with lysol spray on everything before we brought our luggage and dog in. Trash needs to be picked up and swept in the walk ways, stairs, around the parking lot and trash bins.
Next to the hotel is an empty lot where homeless have set up. During our stay we were stopped by a few junkies and homeless people asking for money, cigs, asked if we wanted to buy weed. When we declined or ignored them they got pissed and told us to "F off". We let the front desk know but by the look on their faces, we were not the first to complain.
While tanning in the pool area, we were again interrupted by homeless freely walking about the pool area and going to the pool restrooms since it was close to encampment. They continued to ask for money and got mad when we said no.
The hotel needs to invest in security personnel to patrol the grounds.
We notice sketchy people on bicycles riding by guest parked cars looking in windows. The parking lot need to be repaved and has major pot holes.
Look, we have stayed here before with no problem. It's an older hotel, I get it but it has gone down hill tremendously during this pandemic. Small changes can turn the hotel around. Hopefully the hotel owners, mngment and corp put money into this place.
We wont be back and will look for another pet friendly hotel.

+1
I was in a room on the second floor facing Palm Canyon Drive. Room was quiet due such a large parking lot and the building being set so far back. The parking lot was huge due to the fact there there was two restaurants on the property that are abandoned and closed. The hotel is on the older side and it shows it. My room need a major upgrade on the furnishings although my bed was really comfortable. Pillows and sheets were clean. Carpets need a major cleaning or better yet, replacement. The room also desperately needs to be painted. Shower and bathroom was clean and functioned perfectly. There were a couple of seedy looking people living in one of the other buildings and some homeless that wonder through the lot so be aware in the evening. My room was a non smoker room but there was a slight smell of smoke. It was nothing that bothered me.
Be aware, my Granddaughter came later and checked in and was in a horrible room. There were roaches and silverfish. The non smoking room reeked of old smoke. It permeated the mattress, pillows, sheets , and blankets. She changed rooms and second room was only slightly better.

Definitely would not recommend! First off my trip was paid in full before arrival, when checking in the guy asked for a card for incidentals but did not tell me they were charging my card. The rooms are supposed to be nonsmoking but mine smelt like smoke! The latch on the door was broken & hanging off as of someone kicked in the door & you had to slam the door to make sure it closed fully. The carpet was old, dirty & stained. It had gum & holes as if someone had burnt it, there was also dirt on the carpet between the bed & nightstand as if someone threw up & didn’t clean it! The bathroom door had a hole in it as if someone kicked it & the ceiling above the tub was cracked & hanging like it was going to fall through any day! The bathtub leaked the whole time, I swear it felt more like a motel than a hotel! I wouldn’t waste my time or money here. The woman at the front desk was rude when I called, I lost my keys & before I can tell her when she rudely interrupted & said “no, no one turned anything in.” I had to tell her when & she insisted that nothing was turned in. So, I asked my boyfriend to go to the office maybe she’ll be nicer to him. When he walked in he saw our keys sitting on the wood shelf right behind the woman. SMH! If the other hotels weren’t sold out my family & I definitely would’ve checked out!

I obviously didn’t read reviews before booking this. But I’ll just reiterate it feels shady. There definitely is a drug addict element hanging around the parking lot and that’s not good for a relaxing stay.
I would recommend staying anywhere else driving farther Palm Springs gets booked up on the weekends hence my stay here. The price is absurd for a room with turn wallpaper, pool with nasty scum that makes you want to avoid.
The staff is super friendly and can’t fault them in anyway for a disaster of stay but that’s the only nice thing I have to say.

So everyone can agree that the last 5 years or so have been really weird right ? Nothing is as comfortable as it used to be ,people now a days seem just super weird or super mean . When I walked into the lobby of the travelodge I was greeted by Luis who instantly made me feel like I had chose the right place from the gate . The lobby was very warm , clean , and comfortable. The place was not overly decorated ( such as a lot of places in palms springs are ) There ended up being a misunderstanding with my reservation which had thrown me into a panic but that was instantly soothed over by Luis’s professionalism, knowledge understanding and patience. The security guard was awesome with dealing with other customers as well as well he was a very friendly guy I got to spend some time in the lobby while my issue was being worked out and i got to watch them interact with different guests and handle different requests smoothly and calmly grace and with ease . This is my new favorite place to stay I love my room I will not stay anywhere else ever again because customer service like this comes from people who love their job not from people who just show up for work . Thank you guys so much ….. and don’t forget to give Luis a raise if I could rate more then 5 stars I’d rate 100 thank you guys so much !!!!!!

If you're considering a hotel in this price range, you should set your expectations accordingly. Although the property is somewhat outdated and could use a refresh, it meets basic needs. One notable policy is that rooms are only cleaned upon request, a detail the front desk communicated upon our arrival, although it can be inconvenient. The room had its drawbacks, such as only one electrical outlet, which was insufficient for charging multiple devices, and the pillows provided were quite small, detracting from a comfortable sleep. On the positive side, the pool area was functional and relatively uncrowded, offering a decent place to relax. The staff at the front desk were very pleasant, and complimentary coffee in the lobby each morning was a welcome perk.

Clean rooms, nice pool & Jacuzzi new & very quiet ac/heating unit in rooms. Very friendly and polite staff. We always stay here when visiting Palm Springs. We booked a 1 bedroom suite & had 2 adjoining rooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 TVs 2 refrigerators & 2 coffeemakers--perfect. Just wish they had more of a typical hotel buffet, all you get is a bag with an apple, packaged danish and something else. Fresh hot coffee in the lobby was great. This is the best value for a hotel in the middle of town, yet quiet for those need that. Plentiful free parking next to all rooms.

The room was fairly nice, recently redecorated, clean, except the bathroom door had obviously been kicked in and not repaired properly. When someone walked by on the exterior hallway of our 2nd floor room, it was like an earthquake. When I booked, I am pretty sure there was a breakfast included, but there was no breakfast. When we checked in, the guy told us to park around back to be nearer to our room. There was obviously some sort of drug deal going on back there. We were terrorized by a motorcycle gang all weekend long. Loud motorcycles revving their engines all through the night. Not a safe place to stay.

Great location, great service. The property is a bit tired, but the pool & spa are well maintained. Bring your own iron, this place can be quite, but then some of the guests can be noisy. I was here during Covid and I had an over all good experience. It's away from Downtown, but still accessible.
