You will sense how special Holiday House is the very moment you enter the hotel's chic lobby. It's like entering the home of your very coolest friend. We stayed in a "better" room (number 28) on the second floor at the back of the property for nearly two weeks in November. The room was very spacious and perfectly appointed with a heavenly mattress and bedding. The bathroom was newly remodeled with a large walk in shower, an ensuite tub and rain shower head. We had our dog with us so the location at the back of the hotel near the rear entrance made it easy for potty breaks and dog walks around the neighborhood. The hotel's pool and grounds are immaculate with lounge chairs on the sunny side or the shady side under the orange trees. There are cabanas, a shuffleboard court, an outdoor fire pit and stylish polka dotted bikes you can take out for a spin around Palm Springs. Like all other aspects of the hotel, the food is top notch. Enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner in the open air restaurant with a French bistro vibe. The chicken salad, guacamole and chips and burger are not to be missed! Finally, the most extraordinary thing about Holiday House is the people that work there. Each person we came into contact with, from Autumn the manager, the staff at the front desk, the waiters delivering lunch to us by the pool, the ladies cleaning our room, had a smile on their face and a genuine warmth. It must be a fun place to work with the cool tunes playing throughout the day/night and the relaxed energy the place exudes. If you are looking for a five star experience in the heart of downtown Palm Springs near the art museum, the Movie Colony and the design district, Holiday House is your place!

I loved everything about this hotel even during a Covid stay. The hotel and room are very well decorated with enough 60's mid-century modern to feel like a true Palm Springs getaway but mixed with contemporary art and books and boho chic decor to feel a little like L.A. The rooms were extra clean and sanitized (thank you cleaning crew) and staff and guests wore masks except for socially distanced dining and drinking so we felt safe. Since Downtown Palm Springs was shut down except for retail, we relied heavily on the hotel's bar and restaurant and pool for fun. Holiday House was the best place for a Covid staycation. The drinks and food were killer especially their burgers and Pina Coladas. Shout out to Esoe (not sure if I spelled his name right) the guy working behind the Pantry cafe counter, he was an amazing server and made our dinner an extra amazing experience. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming too. My bf and I had the most relaxing time by the pool with our drinks and the playlists had chill hip hop, pop, and soul vibes. I can't wait to come back :)

This is a beautiful property ascetically. I believe the hotel is owned by an artist which shows. The rooms are lovely and bed is very comfortable. The location is great right off the Main Street.

Practically there are a few things that let this property down. Every day I have had to ask for something (as did all the other guests daily). Cup/plate at breakfast, towel for the pool and coffee pods not replaced in the room (you get rationed 2 per night).

Don’t expect much for breakfast. Fri, Sat, Sun, sausages and scrambled eggs along with cereal, fruit and toast.
Monday - no sausages or scrambled eggs, just toast, cereal, fruit, cold hard boiled eggs.
The addition of basic condiments, ketchup, mustard, etc would be good. As well as tea spoons (none at breakfast or in the room to stir your sugar in), strange. It’s better to offer nothing than something badly, it’s a shame. With a little effort it could be top notch.

Overall a good stay just missing a few basics.

I called Holiday House in order to cancel reservation I made through Hotels.com as our event scheduled for March 14, 2020 at Fantasy Springs Resort was cancelled due to COVID-19 a couple of hours ago. I was told by Hotels.com that I would be charged a cancellation fee of $476.60 by hotel. I was informed by Hotels.com that I would need to contact hotel directly in order to have cancellation fee removed.

I called and spoke with Jessie and she informed me that she could not help me out as I made my booking through Hotels.com. I informed Jessie that Hotels.com sent me to hotel and that is why I am reaching out. Jessie informed me that I would have needed to cancel 72 hours in advance in order to have cancellation fee waived. I informed Jessie that I was just informed of the cancellation of our event a couple of hours ago. Jessie asked me for my contact info and let me know that General Manager would call me tomorrow in order to address cancellation fee.

I asked Jessie for General Managers name twice and she would not give it to me. She said she was not at liberty to share that info. I asked her a third time and she finally gave me a the name "Nate". I asked for a Nate's last name and she said, "she was not at liberty to share his last name".

I guess I will wait and see if Nate calls me tomorrow so we can resolve this issue.

I've been going to Palm Springs regularly for 15+ years and become a regular at many hotels; Holiday House is a top favorite. Their brand of hospitality is very sincere -- meaning, no exaggerated sense of luxury or stuffy professionalism; just personal connection and a willingness to do whatever it takes to make your stay amazing.

A stay at HH is very streamlined and convenient, even this summer during the pandemic. No mandatory valet, parking is right onsite, check in is quick, complementary cocktail the moment you walk in.

Rooms are clean and simple. The extra effort to provide ultra cleanliness during the pandemic is very apparent.

The pool is great. Clean water, well-spaced lounge chairs and someone always ready to take care of you.

They didn't even get mad when I accidentally broke one of their cruiser bikes. Just A+ all around. We're booking again, ASAP.

If you want to have the quintessential Palm Springs experience, Holiday House should be your home base. From the minute you walk through the door you are transported to a very happy, very stylish place. "May I offer you a complimentary rose spritzer" are the perfect first words to hear on a 108 degree afternoon, and it's only the first example of the superlative hospitality you'll encounter at every turn. The rooms are simply beautiful; stylish in design and thoughtful in amenities. In this COVID-19 environment, the practices they had in place were rigorous, yet never felt onerous. Combine all that with a location that's two blocks to just about everything, complimentary bikes and delicious free breakfast and you've got the perfect hotel experience.

We very much enjoyed our recent stay at Holiday House. The location is perfect, very walkable to the downtown Palm Springs restaurants. We had booked the "best" category of room which was very spacious and well-appointed, and we appreciated the in room fridge and the robes. We found the bed very comfy! A few more towels as standard 'stock' would be appreciated, though I'm certain they would have provided if I had asked. There was a bit of an odd smell in the room which didn't go away, but we could never figure out what it was. The room was quiet with the exception of some early morning banging/unloading noise around 6am each day, of which we also never pinpointed the origin, it may have been from across the street. The property/grounds/pool/mountain view were lovely. The check in sangria and complimentary continental style breakfast were really nice touches and appreciated. The highlight was time with Eric at the bar, what a wonderful host, HH is lucky to have him!

Very personalized service from check in to check out. Always someone available to help. Very clean big rooms, stocked with anything you could want. No tv in the rooms, which did not bother us, helps for a more intimate atmosphere....but just FYI. Great mountain/ pool view from patio. Quiet atmosphere around pool....adults only. Location is perfect for walking downtown, close to all the dining and shops. Bikes available to use if you want. The misters were great at the restaurant and around pool and bocce ball court as when we were there it was over 100 degrees and due to COVID no indoor dining. The staff were all wearing masks and the environment felt safe and healthy.

This was our first time to the desert area to stay and it will not be our last! Your staff was wonderfully warm, welcoming, and offered a complimentary sangria upon arrival. All staff we encountered were friendly and attentive, especially Justice! We were beyond shocked when we were told we were comp upgraded to their FABULOUS suite, so many cute little design details made for a big experience. Stunning, over-sized suite with two private patios and outdoor shower (that we definitely took advantage of). Luxurious bed linens, super fun mini bar, yoga mats, weights & pool bag for use, soaking tub in the bathroom... Exceptional!

The beautiful property was so quiet and very easy for us to achieve the solitude we were looking for (couldn't get enough of the serene pool area). It was so nice to have access to the complimentary bicycles to trek around town, which you are centrally located in. If I could give 6 out of 5 stars, that would be most accurate. I have been telling everyone about our amazing Holiday House adventure.

Thank you so much, Holiday House Team, for providing a truly memorable Palm Springs experience and for making us feel so welcome. Already looking into our next stay!
