We stay here when we're in Palm Springs and every Christmas. This time we noticed that the room service had declined in quality and the room was in slight disrepair. The shower dripped all night and then stopped operating fully. Management needs to do periodic quality inspections. Despite these things, I will stay next year.

We stay here whenever we're in Palm Springs because it's centrally located (walkable), quiet, charmingly retro -- plus Mel's piano bar on-site has live music nightly. There is great variety in their category of "standard" room, and we have always been accommodated graciously if we are assigned a standard room that is too dark or lacks a place to sit...

The atmosphere and history of this wonderful place has to be shared with anyone who loves the golden age of movie stars and great stories! The owner adds an incredible spice to the experience of dining and staying here. He's written a small book about the adventures that brought the Inn to us. The book includes quaint stories of movie...

I spent two awful lights at the Ingleside Inn. Had one of the rooms on the rear of the building in what must have been the servants quarters during the era of the "stars". I found none of that allure. Instead I had a small dark and musty room with a bathroom that must have been renovated by day laborers...

In the Golden Age of the Silver Screen, mainly from the 40's through the 50's before the Jet Age this was the favorite hideaway for the likes of Sinatra, Hope, Tracey, Gable, etc. In a remote but not-too-distant quiet road on the southwest part of town since 1939 this 1925 former home of the owner of the legendary Pierce Arrow...

Spent 4 days at the Inn and had a top notch time. Service is great and having dinner twice at Melvyns was fabulous. Everybody is 1st class and that's how you're treated. My wife and I got to meet Mel Haber (owner) and had we many things to share. Brian Ellis was there from the restaurant and we got treated royally....

We've stayed at the Inn many times. We always have a delightful time. The staff is terrific. We love going to Melvyn's for lunch and dinner. The bar is a throw-back to the old days. Cool, dark and the bar staff, especially David, is so friendly and accommodating. We just love this place. Stay there at least twice a year....

Loved the retro atmosphere and the room amenities with attention to details. The location was very convenient for a walk downtown and the staff was friendly and helpful with direction. The only letdown was the advertized wifi not working in the room. Regardless, personally I would always choose such a property over the anonymous luxury chains with no soul!

Such an amazing find! Arrived in Palm Springs with no reservations. We found this gem, boutique style hotel - sitting on the edge of the Palm Springs Desert Scape Mountains ... Excellent customer service, very old fashion feel And hospitality - we can't wait to come back ... We didn't get to visit the hotel restaurant but it was packed...
