As other reviews mention, the rooms are not terribly fancy or modern, but it is certainly clean, reasonably spacious and the staff are efficient and friendly. Our first night we were in a downstairs room and the noise transfer was really bad. We could hear the people upstairs open and close drawers, turn on taps, and go to the toilet....

If you want a quiet, affordable and charming place to stay during your trip to the Monterey/Pacific Grove/Carmel area, this is your place. Literally steps from stunning Asilomar Beach, an historic lighthouse, and beautiful Pacific Grove. The management is also extremely nice and helpful. Be sure to check with them about passes to the Aquarium. They also provide delicious Red's...

Rooms at Pacific Gardens are accessed from the outdoors motel-style but the arrangement in several small 2-story buildings gives a relaxing feel to the place. Our room was the standard hotel layout but comfortably large and well-equipped. Breakfast is nothing too special but it's in a comfortable lobby area where you can also enjoy some wine and cheese in the...

This is our third or fourth time here. I love the freedom this place provides for us. It is dated. The suite we stayed in this time was not energy efficient. It was stormy and the wind whistled through. We were in 108. The temp on the room varied but we were comfortable. There is a heater and a fireplace....

We stayed at the Inn for a couple of nights as we had been to the area on previous travels. The room was spacious and catered for every need. Several very nice inclusions were found in the room, including a popcorn popper! The room had a lovely fireplace which was only needed for ambience as the central heating was perfect....

Wonderful getaway in quiet, secluded area, but close to beach and beautiful walk through grounds of Asiilimar. Most rooms have a fireplace with wood stacked and ready to light. Not fancy but warm and comfortable with extremely, helpful/friendly staff and owner willing to accommodate in every way. The rooms are much bigger than found in most motels/hotels and even include...

Pacific Garden Inn is a nice retreat to get away from it all!! If you're looking for "fancy" this isn't the place for you!! If you like a country like cabin feel you will love this place!! Rooms definitely need some updating, but they are clean and comfortable!! A popcorn maker is a nice surprise in your room too!! There...

The owner Robert is friendly and helpful with local details. Beach is a few min. walk across the street and through the sand dunes. Very relaxing. Spend a few hours in the area and your blood pressure will be very low. This is not a fancy upscale city type hotel. It is a small family run business that makes up...

This is a cute place to stay. It is walking distance to the beach. Sunset is gorgeous. The downtown area is close by but don't recommend walking. There are a few restaurants that is walking distance. There is a wine/snack hour which was pleasant. Staff is pleasant. I would come back here.

Stayed for one night and it was pretty much the only place we could get due to the annual classic car show which ramped up the price. Nothing overly wrong with the hotel it just needs some updating. It felt like somewhere from the late 80's/early 90's but it was clean and comfortable. I think we'd been spoiled with previous...
