For $65/night off of a long broken down highway it would almost be reasonable, $300/night for a room that looks like something straight out of the bates motel is outrageous. Here for a conference, the facilities are poorly laid out, the AV is awful, the rooms are terrible (wall paper falling off the walls, holes in the carpets, windows will...

I was there for 4 days 3 nights in July for a conference and stayed at South View and Scripps one for my own early arrival and one for the conference. They could not allow me to keep the same room. I was happy with the quietude of Southview. Scripps was a very small room with enough space for a...

When coming from Europe, I expected to see something more impressive in this famous place. Yes, this is a nice piece of wild nature with dunes and ocean, but I can say, the Atlantic cost of Spain looks even better, the more so, you can swim there. On the other hand, a whole accommodation and food reminded me life of...

First, the positive: the grounds were beautiful and the location was fantastic. The negative: we booked our stay on Groupon for a room with two double beds. We were traveling with two other couples with their children and they each booked the same exact type of room. We arrived first and as I was checking in, was told our room...

Went to breakfast on Lighthouse Ave & when we got back our rooms had been cleaned & our money & RX were stolen while we were gone for one hour. The food on the grounds is horrible!! Taste like airplane food but for 300% mark up. Not a value at all!!! Very disappointed!!

I stayed at Asilomar recently for a conference. It was my second time at this resort. While the setting is spectacular, I was very disappointed withe conference center. The rooms were run down, a little dirty, and with splintered wood decks, etc. But the worst part is that on my last day there, someone stole $300 from my room (no...

Asilomar Conference Grounds and state park is a great get-a-way at a very reasonable rate - in comparison to other local motels. It is bare bones - no TV, phone and you have to request a coffee maker. But, the quiet is nice. Make sure to request your size bed, and get to registration early. The grounds are a conference...

This is not a motel for the typical hurried traveler. This is an historic YWCA camp that has been preserved for those who can appreciate some quality time in a quality natural setting. If you want a typical modern motel, good TV, fast internet, etc. do not go to Asilomar. But if you want a restful, nature-oriented, almost-camping ambiance, Asilomar...

Very basic rooms. The room we stayed in had all of the basics and you definitely were in touch with Mother Nature. A little different to not a have a tv in the room but was okay. Walls are thin and easy to hear everything at ALL times of the day. Overall good stay but wouldn't stay here again.
