The conference center is with a California State Park. The buildings date back to the early 1900s and some were designed by Julia Morgan who also designed the Hearst Mansion further down the coast. My work group held an off-site retreat here, and we would...More
I love the location of this property. I stay here because of the access to the beach but it does need some renovation. I used this venue for my wedding recently and it was gorgeous. I did have to warn my guests that this hotel...More
Who says a business meeting has to be at an airport hotel? This location in a state park, next to the beach is ideal for team building or just enjoying the ocean. Architecture is well thought out and so comfy for guests. Food is delicious....More
This could be a lovely property. The location, right on Asilomar State Beach, and having historical buildings designed by Julia Morgan suggests it could be amazing. Unfortunately, it is not.

Hello, I grew in in PG and have returned to stay at Asilomar number of times over the years. This is a conference site first but they really advertise to individuals now also. This new property group sells rooms as to location on the property, fireplace, ocean views are now extras. What is a "ocean view" to one may not be to another. They don't like to tell where your room will be because of conferences. I'd goggle a map of the property and you can see where the rooms/buildings are set. The 800 number people are in AZ. and really don't knew the site at all. I'd ask where my room is, most ocean views are in a nice areas. The rooms are dated but clean. They have plans to redo them this coming year. Asilomar Beach is right across the street, you can't get any closer. The grounds are very nice, it's a state park. I won't buy your meals there, to many great restaurant in PG and Monterey.....check TripAdvisor. Carmel is about 7 miles away and you can go into the 17 Mile Gate right up the hill from Asilomar. Merry Christmas
