What a nasty nasty place. Picture an Amsterdam Youth Hostel where you pay Ritz Carlton prices. This place is badly in need of either a wrecking ball or a massive fire: perhaps both. First off there is no place to park. My car finally found a home in an underground parking garage also home to birds: turd everywhere. I had...

This is the hotel you go to if you're truly trying to get away from everyday life. With no tvs and phones in the room I found myself more emerged in the beauty of the place and surrounding areas. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to escape the routine every day.

This is an extremely outdated hotel / conference center . Water doesn't run properly from the faucets. Bathrooms are old and they have moldy appearance. The heating system was not functioning well. The extra blankets are very thin and low quality . The furniture in the rooms, such as the desk/vanity , are very outdated and they need to be...

Four of us stayed for a family long weekend in Monterey – my senior mom, my sister, and my tween niece. I enjoyed it, but there are some things to know before you go. Room • Since we were on a low budget, we shared a single room in the Surf & Sand buildings. It was pretty large, but rather...

No reservation. We heard about this as an option the day before. Called and showed up at 10:30pm the next night. No problems getting the room. Fire place in room was cozy. Without question not a place to stay if you demand 5-star accommodations, but just the history of the place and the feel and the 1960's made it comfortable....

The rooms are spread throughout several buildings in a large state park property on the beach. Rooms are rustic and the bathrooms are dated. But the ambiance, ocean views and boardwalks, fireplaces in some rooms, deer wandering on the property more than make up for that little deficit. Dining is available on the property, but that is mainly for attendees...

The rooms are very dated, no phones or tv's (fine with me). But, I was with my spouse attending a conference. In order for me to stay with him, I had to pay for all of my meals (nearly $700 for 4 days). When it's time for meals (with VERY restrictive times), they ring an old bell. As a friend...

I spent 4 nights here for a conference. The location is fantastic and the food was very good, but the rooms are seriously dated and had few amenities (no coffee!). You can hear people walking above on the 2nd floor and up the stairs next to our room. Water pressure is very weak and the furniture must be from the...

The place is beautiful but very spread out. Parking is a bit of a pain. There are no phones or TVs in the room which was fine but I think it would have been nice to know that going in. It is a very short walk to the beach which was great. The food was all fabulous and all of...
